Hopefully caliber conversion kits become available again sometime soon so I can pick one up.... would highly recommend the MRAD, great rifle!

I like how you talk real numbers in shooting, realistic targets. So many internet shooters can shoot 1/2 moa all day. Interesting however I don’t see that when I’m at the range. Thanks for making it real.

I'd love to say I'm a half moa all day shooter but that just isn't the case and like you say it's tough to find folks who are truly capable of this..... I figure folks will appreciate a realistic look at what a "normal" shooter is capable of. Even though I'm not a half moa all day shooter, if you watch enough of my videos you'll see tiny groups aren't required to make consistent hits at distance.

This will be a great series to see and fallow. I wanted to make a similar video series except’ show what the max distance I could shoot with my budget build vs my High end (to me) build. My budget setup is howa 1500 in 300wm set in an oryx chassis with an Arken sh4gen2 vs my rpr in 300wm with the leupold mark 5hd I mentioned in a previous comment on your barret vs Ruger video. I think it would be informational to show people what the limits of your gear choices are vs what people imagine they would be. Anyways brother Im really liking your content and the absence of “gun snob” attitude you see on other channels. I know you have awesome gear that most people can’t afford but your not big headed about it and that’s what makes you easy to watch. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
@MountainsMulletsMerica

Oh man, I love the idea of putting you budget build against the RPR. I bet you'd find the budget build is very much on par with the RPR. It's really easy to get wrapped up in the gear and which brand name is best but my opinion it all comes down to the shooter..... A shooter that's got the fundamentals nailed and understands the concepts of marksmanship will be very effective regardless of the tools they use. Your idea is inline with something I've been thinking I might try to do and that is put something like a Bergara "hunting rifle" side by side with the MRAD for an ELR comparison. I really have no clue what to expect in that kind of match up. Appreciate the support!

I really think either the 300NM or the 338 edge would be a great choice. Personally I'd lean more to the 300NM but the 338 edge would get you a bit more speed out of the .338 caliber which would make that much more attractive to shoot ELR,

I plan to learn reloading to really dial in my accuracy. I have been watching lots of videos on the subject and a few tips that I can add toward your reloading that I’ve gleaned from the F class shooters is sort your bullets by weight neck tension is very important ( neck turning) they even point there bullets to make sure they are as close to identical as possible. @@mattmoon782 the biggest thing, get yourself a microphone out of the gate. I didn't realize the value of a microphone and quality audio until I had already launched a couple videos. I'm just running iphones for video which I believe provide solid quality, just get yourself a couple of tripods that you can use to position the cameras where you want and easily. Also prior to rolling on video make sure you have your thoughts and key points to cover identified so you are clear and concise..... don't want to spend time rambling if you don't have to. In my experience viewers have short attention spans so have to be constantly changing things up to keep the viewers attention.

Yep I started out with a .308 178-200 grain bullets out to a mile then I built a 300 RUM because I wanted to shoot the 245 grain Berger bullets and needed a case with enough horsepower to do so. I built a rem 700 with a 32” Lilja Barrel in a Cadex chassis and I ended up getting 3140FPS with no pressure so I stayed there and so far I take. It out to 2500 yards with ease. Over here in Ohio it only took 95 moa of elevation to hit that. The rifle weighs 25lbs so recoil is less than my .308 just a lot louder hehe

Standard deviation. It’s a measure of how consistent velocity is out of the rifle. Tells you statistically how close the shots in a string are to the average. The lower the Sd, the more consistent your velocity, in turn more consistent downrange elevation results will be.
