This is a great guide for new players! I feel like newer players are scared of the moon system and the heavy air neutral game, so thanks for addressing those topics.

Moon system? This sounds awesome. So does air neutral which is one of my favorite things about Dragon ball Fighterz and super smash bros.

Just about any fighting game scares off most people from picking them up. Those players stereotype fighters as these impossibly difficult games. Even though most of the time it's just that they hear it from people they look up to or agree with on most things with; 'this person is right even if I never played a fighter before,'
@PanzerMan332
@PanzerMan332 4 жыл бұрын
@@ristier31 They are impossibly difficult. And that's not an opinion someone told me, that's an opinion I formed by playing several different games personally. I've never seen a fighting game that wasn't an entire strategy game combined with some mathematics under the hood, and this one looks no different. I'm beginning to think there isn't any such thing as a beginner friendly fighting game.
@bigbone_99
@bigbone_99 4 жыл бұрын
@@PanzerMan332 They really aren't too difficult, it's really a matter of the attitude you approach them with. Like of course building up the dexterity to execute moves and do combos reliably is going to be a challenge, but what you should be doing in a match is applying the fundamentals, even if you don't win. So every time you anti air, every time you space a move right and every time you mix up your opponent, that's improvement! It's sucks losing sure, but the goal shouldn't be with the match/round at first, it should be about applying fundamentals. And when you do that, all that will snowball into wins!

@@PanzerMan332 what games have you been trying? what makes fighting games fun for me is the improvement over time, learning is fun and rewarding! i recommend not stressing over stuff like framedata, just play, see what works and have fun :) after a while youll realize how much better you have gotten and it just keeps getting more and more fun from there. just mash lol

My introduction to Melty Blood, and Akatsuki Blitzkampf for that matter, was through UNIEL, with the inclusion of Eltnum and Akatsuki, respectively. Then I was made aware of that game by Yuzuriha's inclusion as a background character in Skullgirls. So in essence, Skullgirls brought me here.

Melty Blood got me into fighting games on a serious level. It's still my litmus test for how quality a 2d fighting game is. If the neutral in a 2d fighter isn't as solid or better than Melty Blood, I honestly put the game down. I played MBAC for years and still enjoy it today. French Bread is a very underrated company and they have made the absolute best 2d fighters around.

You should try out Arcana Heart, it's kinda like fighterz if you gave it actual defensive mechanics and (in some ways) even crazier offense. It's all about flying around using a homing dash you actually have control over, really makes the game feel like a moe DBZ fighting game.

Hopefully once this games drops people will release guides/ tutorials on the characters, and not just drop combo videos, since combos are arguably the least important part of a fighting game, with other areas like options your character can do in neutral, and mix ups being WAY more important. In regards to what I'm hoping for in these character specific guides is at the bare minimum an overview on all the characters normals, specials, and supers and to what there intended purpose is. Extra points if they explain the mix up situations like in MB with Akiha's pinwheel set up. And I Will definitely be on the look out for a Red Arcrueid guide day one, since she is currently the character I'm the most interested in, though that could change once powered Ciel (best girl) and Aoko is released. Here are some examples of detailed guides that ACTUALLY have useful information, and isn't just a combo video with me using arguably the most complex and unique 2D fighter on the market currently that you can find on this platform: 【BBCF2】 Izanami Blockstrings & Pressure Breakdown kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aLaJZrVmv6-UaZs.html 【BBCF2】 Izanami Ribcage & Okizeme Guide kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bZ14eJZyl5aZgo0.html Blazblue Central Fiction Beginner Azrael Guide kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iKlmdbNonN65hKc.html

This is a very informative video, but you really should try to break it into more easily consumable sections. by the mid to end it all starts becoming a blur. I still don't understand anything. You throw out too much terminology and specific circumstances and ignore general gameplay completely. Why are there different moons? What does air unblockable mean? What is a neutral phase? What is a phase at all? What is hitstun? What is a command normal? What is a chain? What is a cancel series? What is frame advantage? This is why I could never get into fighting games, sadly.

Hi. The videos on the channel are for people who already know general fighting game basics and have played at least one fighting game before. If we had to repeat the same basics for every game we cover then the videos would be 5 times as long and most viewers will be bored. You can google every term and get an answer easily.
