I'm Sinhalese and from Sri Lanka. I searched for explanation of psychoanalytic theory videos on KZfaq for days and watched. But I would say that this is the best video I got for understanding the theory. Even I couldn't find any tutorial that was helpful even in my own language. But this was the best. Freud was a latent homosexual that obviously had some repressed psychosexual tendencies that stemmed from childhood. He projected his upbringing and desires on the community and they took it as law. Freud lied about many of his patients and works.

Not everything's black and white. So I feel both those theory's on how personality comes about is true. I think we are born with a lot of it and the rest develops through childhood.
