In today’s video I will be trying out an exciting new bio resin from Elichem Resins called BioCast. This resin has been a long time in the making and it is now available on the Elichem website. Today see me use this wonderful new resin to create a resin nightlight.

Absolutely stunning crystal Louise and I just love the eco-friendly properties that this resin has. Brilliant! I wish more resin companies would do the same. I love your idea of placing the mold on an angle also. Your so clever in the way you go about your projects, always thinking outside the box. Just love that! ❤❤

😊❤😊Hi my dear friend, I like this very much. The idea of curing at an angle not only is practical, but it gives a really great effect. It's beautiful. If I one day get my sight back to normal I'll certainly have a go at something like this. Probably with my pyramid mould. Thank you and love you my friend. Xx

The odor from the resins I have utilized were so strong even a cloth mask wasn't helpful. I bought a respirator but not only was it pricey it's also uncomfortable. I can wear it for short periods of time but I end-up with a nasty headache plus it limits time in my Creative Space. This product certainly appeals to me. The one to one ratio is another plus. Thank you for such useful information. Your nightlight is gorgeous!

If you decide to get a better mask, I recommend the ergonomic respirator from Lowe’s. Mine is purple. It filters fine dust and most smells. Instead of the harder plastic over your mouth and nose and two heavy of others it is more like a cpap mask. I am allergic to many airborn things and it really helps plus it is lighter than most others

Thank you and sorry for the late reply. I don’t actually know what the PPA guidelines are for it but I think it’s best to be cautious and treat it like other resins.

Thanks to Elichem for the work of creating a better product for us! Louise, a question - what is the working time for this? I couldn't tell how the glitter looked in the white background. Did it stay throughout the white portion or gather at the top? Thank you for sharing this with us!

Thanks for your kind comments. The open time is around 45mins ( depending on the ambient temperature and mixed mass ).

DM Momma, Aram got here first but in answer to the other question the white glitter stayed dispersed and didn’t sink - much to my surprise! It didn’t show through very much because the white was a little too opaque.
