Thank you Mr. Morimae Navigator for sharing with us a true "philosophy" of Bonsai -- tending to all the ideas and the history as well as the materials, the artistic and the practical as well as the humane, which extend from and feed our appreciation of this art like all the many fine roots which extend from the trunk of a well-cared for tree. I have been especially inspired by how you have in many videos reminded us always of the life of these individual trees and their own search in life, just as we search in ours.

Hi-Asobi is breathtaking-- what a gift to see this work of a master who seems to be stretching his arms and legs in joy at the peak of the great mountain all his efforts have carried him to, seeing in his horizon something like an entire world. I say joy because I think I feel it in the very structure of the tree. In figure and performance it calls to mind the dance frozen in time of the Dragons of Kanō Hōgai and of the air and clouds which support Kannon painted by that Master too, or the coiling robes and strong bones of his immortal Arhat.
