Two years later and they are a lovely family. Nanny loves her baby who has grown so much and mumma is happy too, so much so she will leave Pyi Mai alone with nanny who is very patient and never takes her eyes off her. But it is good that mumma was cautious, it could have gone the other way. Wan Mai was indeed too rough. But when Chaba came along Py Mai was lovely with her and they became buddies.

For those who don't know of Elephant nature Park, they save many other species of animals as well as elephants. Cats, dogs, cows and more. They protect old growth trees and if a bush fire occurs near them, they all go to help fight the fire. This is a wonderful place and very worthy of donations.

What a joy to the soul to see such a sweet baby! So glad she is a happy elephant as opposed to one stolen from the mother and the evil that ensues. Why would anyone want to see them in a circus or forced to labor with chains, or being killed. Thank you for helping these beautiful, gentle giants.

The rumbling has a purpose pyi mai will know that rumbling as the nanny elephant's know the difference in each other and in a couple of week's mama, Baby ,nanny, will become a family and nanny is then auntie and that's how some families start and pyi mai will never leave them.

The exchanges in this video are beyond complex. Mom in many gestures, trumpets, perhaps the poop, urine, simply disagrees. For now? But note PYI MAI goes to the pool end, here comes Mom. We are privileged to watch this, demonstrating as usual, how highly brilliant and complex ELEPHANT interactions are. AWESOME!

I think she is older and calmer, so she's good company for the stressed mother also. The nanny reminds me of my grandmother who used to sing us to sleep in the car.

Poor Kham Moon so nervous and afraid. You wonder what happened to her at her previous place to cause this. Sri Nuan is doing everything she can through rumbles, ear-flapping and demeanor to let mama know she’s not a threat. I hope Kham Moon will come around soon.

Does anyone know what eventually happens to the Baby? Is it released into the wild? Does it stay at the sanctuary indefinitely? Is it still - alive? I only ask that because so many Asian elephants die, when that virus becomes active within them, hopefully that was not that case with this one. It seems pretty friendly.

I wonder what is holding back Kham Moon from accepting Sri Nuan as nanny? Maybe something she learned in her past? I feel for her. Also Wan Mai will be missing Sri Nuan so badly. And Sri Nuan likewise missing Wan Mai. And Wan Mai's Mum has also formed an attachment with Sri Nuan, I think. Hope this can evolve quite quickly into a positive situation where all can be together.

@@theresaprice310 Yeah ... wondering if they could maybe use food as a stimulus to smooth the way towards Kham Moon accepting her family being around Mai Mai's family ... Kham Moon seems to really focus on and enjoy her food ... maybe find something she particularly likes then only feed her that when she & Pyi Mai are around Mai Mai's family ... I do this with my cats and dogs if ever there's a bit of discord, and I've had success with it ... they all get treated with the same treat at the same time; and this treat only comes out for short periods of time when they're together. Then you VERY gradually increase the length of time spent together. Just a thought.

You're hope is answered, the nanny and mama have bonded with the baby and how elephant families work Mama and nanny are now sister's for life and nanny is now an auntie and they will never separate their an official family for life now and the baby will always be happy with an auntie and mama.
