Absolute beast of a ute and perfect example of a legendary machine! Definitely a real credit to the owner! It's a huge shame that the boss engines are no longer being produced anymore! Especially our fords! Sounds amazing and really looks the part in that brilliant blue! being a 6 speed manual makes it all the better!😁👌Great video Ross thanks for sharing buddy!👍

Really enjoyed the review on the Super Pursuit. I love the look and sound of these. Can’t beat them in a manual for a great sound. I like the colour and it’s a very clean Ute. Love the rims on it as well, you don’t see them often now. The 0-100 wasn’t too bad, could definitely lower the time with some practice and some more sticky tyres. Thanks for the review.

I had a BF2 XR8 ute, full exhaust, cold air intake and a tune. Went from that to a FGX XR6T. The ute wouldn't even see which way the Turbo went, but the noise of that Boss engine........... 3 years on and I still miss that glorious sound, to the point that I'm seriously considering trying to get back to a Boss powered ride.

I have #055 Super Pursuit and it is identical to this one, but it has the ZF auto. It's my daily driver and I have fuel economy sitting at around 10.5lt/100km running on 98 octane only. It does a lot of hwy kms but also cops a hard time most days as some one always wants to engage in some "spirited driving" on my way to and from work! Haha

Fg2 Miami was in GS, r spec and gtf. But I believe they were visual upgrades.

The other FG utes that did get the Miami V8 were the GS FPV ute, so not only the R Spec got it.

An old guy that lives locally has a BF...FPV...GTP...ute . black with gold stripes...ive never seen another one...All original from new...Our local ford dealer had a new BF Cobra ute with 6 speed manual...one of only 4 built according to the window sticker...65 k new...cheers...

Great review. Ive always thought the factory rims look too small on the FG models with those big flared rear wheel wells. Deep dish mags look great under them.

Hey m8, Gs ute also got the coyote. I have a Gt 335 "same blue" Im constantly wrestling with the idea of selling and getting this ute 🤔 prefer the 5.4 (sounds awesome), in the ute, the s/charged coyote would be to deadly in a ute.😢

It’s not a coyote it’s called the Miami. Fpv took the base coyote and made so many changes they were able to rename it officially the “Miami”. Every single part was changed and redesigned down to even the block.

@@fugawiaus lol yeah I know mate I have one, they are both American names, "if you know the history of why its called miami, so I figured what does it matter especially when calling the engine miami sounds rather stupid 😂 really they should have gave it an Aussie name. Plenty guys think like me, I'm in the fpv club we all call it coyote and one bloke even has coyote number plates.

@@bears2604 apparently they (fpv) spent three years and $40 million dollars developing the Miami. Plans were they would export it to the US to be put in American performance fords. (Perhaps that is why the American “Miami” name). The block was redesigned with all the water and oil pathways smoothed and opened up, the oil pan was redesigned with a different oil pump and pickup. All the internal parts were replaced with forged parts. The heads were gt350 with all the moving parts upgraded by fpv. The inlet and exhaust manifolds were redesigned. In the end there is pretty much no coyote left. To top it off it is hand made by fpv until the fgx which moved production to the ford factory to be hand assembled by one of 6 specialists.

It’s a hurricane system with high flow cats back to the tip, 3 inch into 3.5 inch into 4 inch dual tips with no resonator, Liverpool exhausts did the job

It’s a hurricane system, high flow cats into a 3inch into a resonator which flows to a 3.5inch with 4 inch tips so the piping just gets fatter towards the rear, all Hurricane parts with the standard fpv extractors.

Did you notice much difference between thr boss 290 compared to the 315? I imagine having higher comp the 315 probably felt like a 5.4 boss that should have been available from the start

I always wanted a BF super pursuit but the truck engine which I just do not like and the ba and bf had blind rivets in the tray So I bought a ve ssv Ute and still have it And we just came home from Perth today and I was getting 9 per 100 kms

Has Pirellis on the rears, it’s just hard to get it off the line with the 245’s it really needs 275’s or wider to put it down with a decent clutch drop

Boss motors cop such a bad wrap. I have a 260 & wouldn’t ever complain about the power it makes or how it puts it down. Mines lightly modded & id have absolutely no trouble getting into the 5s 0-100. This would easily have a low 5 in it surely…

They cop it basically because they are hard/expensive to make big power.. but as a cruiser they are so enjoyable

Why don't you do a timed, in gear 60-100kph run instead of a traction limited 0-100kph run?? You always say traction issues etc and never really get near manufacturers claims..
