Introducing the NEW Hotone Audio Ampero Control

3 жыл бұрынAmpero Control is a compact, sturdy, fully programmable Bluetooth MIDI controller, that gives musicians flexible MIDI-based control via MIDI port, USB jack and Bluetooth. It features 4 footswitches, with each footswitch, you can send up to 16 different MIDI messages by different actions. You can also attach expression pedals or more footswitches to your Ampero Control depending on your needs. Furthermore, a dedicated smart mobile app lets you set every detail of your Ampero Control without any confusion.

I’ve got mine controlling my midi effects and controlling my midi guitar amp. Easy to program, powerful, inexpensive and small. However there are some things that let it down. The display is impossible to see on stage as the numbers are far too small to read, the numbering makes no sense to me (not bank & patch) and you can easily lose where you are, plus they used blue LEDs which make it very hard to read unless you are close up.

I'm in a small rock trio and we don't have a sound tech. It works great with the Behringer XR-18 mixer to turn effects off between songs so when you are yappin' you don't sound like you are in a cave and also to punch in and out word or a phrase long delays. The thing is tits!

Can i use these with a Strymon Riverside and Sunset which has midi internal capabilities via their MIDI/EXP cable.? I love the look simplicity and space saving strip layout and wanting to get one. My local distributor in Australia has them, and wanting to know if it would work with those mentioned Strymon drive pedals. Thank you and regards.

Hi ! I want to use it with my expression pedal to control a software wah through my DAW, e.g. amplitube or Amplifikation 360 software wah pedals. Can I assign one midi CC controller number on a switch for the on-off of the wah and another midi CC for using the expression as a wah in my DAW?

Does this work seamlessly with Overloud TH-U for changing banks and changing presets and also for toggling pedals in the amp scene off / on? . Can i also Control record on/off, play start/stop in my studioone daw?

Sorry for the previous reply, the messages got tangled. This will control anything that accepts MIDI messages with a MIDI learn function. So, if the host has the ability to make those changes via MIDI messages, the Ampero Control will get it done.

Works with any VST with MIDI capabilities.

@@HotoneAudio Bias FX has a standalone application that is common, as well as iOS and iPad OS apps. They previously provided their own BT-4 pedal that was well built, but they discontinued it, along with support. Their support staff stated that other pedals should work, but it would be good to know if this has been verified with their app. Thanks.

I got one and have been using it to trigger samples on my sampler. The problem I’m having is sometimes when I need to change banks on the controller, it false triggers samples sometimes. Is there any way to change banks on this controller using only one button instead of the two? Like perhaps using an external pedal or configuring it to do so. Thanks for any info

Will this do multiple layers on each footswitch? So a single press then a long press assigned to one switch?

@@HotoneAudio I have one ordered for my Fractal FM3, hopefully it serves my purpose. If so, wow what a great affordable midi controller. If not, I at least got a killer midi for the DAW.

@@RickyMontijo It did! It's kinda tricky to program but the app makes it a breeze. I wish there was led inficators for when the switches are pressed or toggled. Other than that it's great!

@@HotoneAudio I’m not using the VST in a DAW; it’s the iPad OS app, and alternatively, the standalone desktop app, but they both do accept midi input. I just ordered your pedal and expression pedal. Can’t wait to try it!

So far I am very pleased with my ampero control. After one month of using it one question bothers me still - Is it possible to connect ampero control to a windows 11 PC via Bluetooth? I wasn't able to find the answer in the manual and everytime I try with bt 5.0 adapter, windows see ampero as aviable device but connection end with failure 🥲

@@protyay Well, Mr. Protyay, yes and no. Long story short, It is on Mac by default but for Win it needs some additional soft in the background which I'm yet to find. Let me quote tech support reply that I've got: "Ampero Control can connect to a Windows PC via Bluetooth but need a third party bridging software, which is much difficult to use. We recommend USB connection though Ampero Control on Windows, but You can connect to a Mac easily via Bluetooth." Tag me in If You'll get deeper in this rabbit hole :)

@@RentonGrey yeah I got the same response from them, upon further enquiry about what this 'very difficult' process was, they basically said yeah there's no way to do it. Ended up returning it and getting an XSonic Airstep instead.

Ampero and Vstomp are not bundled, only with JOGG.
