Butane ( C4H10) with structural formula CH3-CH2-CH2-CH3 have 4 Carbon and 10 Hydogen atoms. But why in cyclo butane there is only 4 Carbon and 8 Hydrogen which is not following the rule of Alkanes i.e. CnH2n+2.? Ma’am reply plz

They are named as alkanes just because of single bond present in it ...

Alkanes nhi hota hai , alkenes ka hota cyclobutane

In cyclic form this is still alkane ... not converted into alkene ... alkenes have double bond but Cyclo alkanes have still single bond .... that's why in cyclic form it follows the formula of alkene just because of removal of two hydrogens from terminal carbons

Mam iso term use krte hue bhi hum second position vale carbon pai lgate hai or secondary term use krte hue bhi toh dono mai difference kya hai

iso term use jb krte hai to primary hydrogen (1degree) subtract hota hai and jab sec term use hota hai tb secondary hydrogen (2 degree) subtract hota hai
