In this video I give a little intro to shoemaking by going through all of the basic parts of a shoe and describing what they are called and why we need them 😊

Hi i wanted to know when you make a last pattern how do you get the last pattern the same on both side I’m trying to make a pair of vintage 1930s pumps and do you think I’m the 1930s they used leather stiffener or plastic and last do you where I can get custom wooden heels for the shoe

Hi.....your work is amazing Any video on how to make everything from scratch? ...I mean how the upper lining got stick to the in sole.... cause you can't see that at the market.

Do you need need two lasts for every pair of shoes? A right foot last and a left foot last?

no (but sort of yes) - in some historical shoemaking (regency i think? maybe also medieval) you only need one last - a straight last. the shoes become left and right through wear.

But how can we have a custom last?Lasts are the problem why most shoes feel uncomfortable brcause they don't have natural shapes or YOUR natural shape, maybe they have the front part of the toes very long or very short and your toes do not fit,so every wearer should use their custom last.
