Dr. Lou Cozolino introduces us to the upcoming training " The Making of a Therapist " in February 2023
Decades of supervising new and experienced psychotherapists have shown how difficult we all find translating what we learn in the books and lectures of our training programs into the consulting room. This makes us feel like an imposter, making things up as we go along but never sure what we are doing is correct or helpful. This puts us at risk of piling up endless credentials or finding a guru to believe in as we search for a feeling of security and competence in our work. During this four-part series, Lou will attempt to share his view of the foundation aspects of therapy that will apply to any form of therapy you use in your practice.
During this four-part online course in February 2023, Lou will share his view of the foundation aspects of therapy that apply to any form of therapy you use in your practice. In addition, we will use a combination of in-class therapeutic demonstrations, panel discussions, question-and-answer sessions, readings and lectures to achieve our learning goals.

About Our Speaker
Dr. Lou Cozolino, is a practising psychologist, professor and author who specializes in the areas of neuroscience, neuropsychiatry and education. Dr. Cozolino practices psychotherapy and consulting psychology in Los Angeles, California. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UCLA and an M.T.S. from Harvard University. He has been a professor at Pepperdine since 1986 and lectures worldwide on psychotherapy, neuroscience, trauma, and attachment.
