thinkorswim® web is a web-based version of the thinkorswim trading platform. Now you can trade stocks, options, futures, and forex from your web browser-no downloads required. In this tutorial, we'll take a tour of the platform and show you how to get started trading with thinkorswim web.

at the moment there is no selecting FIFO or LIFO, if you had it selected in schwab your ok.

Edit Selected is not an option to click on at the 5:40 mark, so how do you edit selected now?

Interesting, thanks. Hopefully the paper version of TOS web works better than the paper version of the TOS desktop version where fills are sometimes in minutes. Compound that with various tools don't work in the desktop and desktop paper version. In other words the desktop paper version is worthless.

I have decided to go with the TOS web. It is all I need and believe in making things simple. Just wondering in there will be more background changes along with other features in the future?

We are constantly working on improving our platforms, but don't have plans for background modifications at this time. Thank you for the question. ^BC

I liked the tutorials but if you could use either a larger cursor or a different colored cursor it would be easier to follow. I find myself constantly trying to catch up with the moderator and sometimes have to look at the video again to follow what they are doing.

Is there a video on 1) How to create a stop loss at a stock price, not option price (SPY at 500, not 2.65 or whatever). 2) How do you create an order for options, and a stop loss at 20%? on the web?

When pulling up this video, the Charles Schwab logo shows in the bottom right hand corner of the screen only. You may want to try resizing your screen, possibly. ^MF

Schwab is committed to keeping thinkorswim desktop software. It is the most robust version. thinkorswim web is a simplified version and continues to receive enhancements as the platform develops. ^CH

This NEW Thinkorswim Web looks like an abbreviated version of the original FULL TOS version. In the effort to make TOS more user friendly,, it looks like it sacrifices the depth of data, and analytics of the original full platform. Schwab would be making a mistake to abandon the original platform which has a more "professional" approach. As a former TD Ameritrade client, I was told that TOS would continue to be fully supported. Please do not force this "quick, easy, simplified" version upon me. Please live up to the original Schwab commitment to maintain and support the original TOS platform.

I agree. There's nothing wrong with this web version of TOS but I suggest to any Schwab folks here that regarding the desktop you stick to the logic of "if it ain't broke don't go fixin' it." It's a crown jewel you've got from the TDA acquisition. Don't fix it. Just some thoughts.
