Thanks David. I've learned some songs in the past that have a passage of just a couple measures with a walking bass line. On those, I just broke it down beat by beat and got my fingers to memorize the movements. This lesson takes it to another level because the walking bass line can repeat through the whole song or a big part of it. I ended up writing it in tab to help me visualize the pinches. For now, I'm playing it verrrry slowly. I plan to spend about 5 minutes on this exercise in my practice sessions for awhile before I try to extend the solo. Good stuff!
