Wow, you always amaze me at the hidden gems you find out about Graceland Ashley! So many interesting things in this video. I never knew the wall was crashed into a few times, amazing how they used the same stones to fit it back to the same way. Love that. I also love the hidden flag poles holders behind the Lions. Who knew....ah...you did! LOL It's always fun to see how the carpets and such changed through the years. So much cool things in this video Ashley! I can't believe someone got into the house after Elvis passed, how scary that was for Aunt Delta and the maids. Good thing Aunt Delta was a bit feisty! I knew about the apartment, but did not know that Vernon added on to it. The things I learn from you girl! Again, so much info in this video, it was so fun to watch and learn. My sister and I were at Graceland in July 7,1988 when the wall was crashed into by a teenage girl. The workers repairing the wall actually gave us a small piece of the wall. My sisters piece is in the shape of a heart. I do have pictures of this event with the workers & us in front of the wall.

My favorite fun fact is about the pool table. I have always been skeptical about that torn pool table felt. I visited there November 2, 2019. So during the tour and after seeing the pool table it just really bothered me that the pool table would have been torn while Elvis was still alive and not resurfaced. After all with the tear in the felt the table is in fact useless. I just couldn’t get it out of my thoughts that it was torn so long ago and not repaired. The photos that you showed really don’t add up or make sense whichever one you would like to call it. I am going to watch your video again and write down the information about that table and do some looking around for answers myself. I think this was one of the most interesting and information filled videos you have done. Definitely a great one! Thank you so much for sharing all your information! I always look forward to a new video!!

Question...we know that Lisa Marie and her family would use the house sporadically throughout the years. Do we know any of the details of that? Was certain furniture moved in or taken out, did they sleep at the mansion, etc.

The flower on the wall painting next to the fridge looks like the painting on the stone wall…. And, the pool table was torn in 1982. Just barely. It’s gotten worse over the years. I have my photos from my first trip. And I remember the story.

Aside note! Whilst watching your video again, i was intrigued by the tiger statue in the jungel room. In pictures of elvis bedroom that are available you can see a tiger statue on elvis television, also inside the excellent book " inside graceland" you can see another tiger statue, in the trophy building. The reason i am intrigued is a fan presented Elvis with a tiger statue on 20 august 1975 in las vegas. trivial i know but i am wondering which is the one presented to Elvis!!

Hi again! Great video!! I’m not reading the comments but the room she’s referring to is not downstairs. The Trophy building is what she’s referring to as I read the article from the book. The flagpole bases are very cool. Saw them in the 80’s and 90’s and wondered why no one uses them.

Ashley. You know maybe or maybe you don't, that there is an Elvis Presley Enterprises Graceland Livestream official chat room. I am in that chat room. The camera mounted in front of the keyhole a short distance away is aimed at the mansion 24/7. We watch the house every second of the day. We watch the buses roll in unloading the visitors taking the tours. We see who comes and goes all day and night. We watch the night tours after hours. We watch people take pictures. We watch brides and grooms come to the mansion after being married in the chapel in the woods to take photos in front of the house. We watch stray animals wonder onto the property. There were dogs a few nights there walking around and one night they were in the rain. One of the chatters contact animal control and they rescued the dogs. Both were adopted right away. We watch celebrities come and go. Not many but a few enter the front door. We watched as they painted the house last year. We watched as they put up Christmas lights. We were hoping to watch them make the NBC special but they turned off the camera for several days. However people were driving by doing taping and posted pictures of activity by the Lisa Marie airplane one night. So we saw things going on no o e else could. We watch the grounds crew every morning mow the lawn and blow the leaves. We watch the sprinklers come on during the spring and summer. We watch "Sweet Cheeks", the mansion squirrel mascot run up and down the tree with his buddies and play on the lawn and jump in the roof. When I came to the chat room, everybody was talking about the squirrel. I was new there so I asked the people there did they ever think about naming the squirrel. So I gave him a name of "Sweet Cheeks" and everybody loved it. So that's his name. We all watch for him every day. I named him because if Elvis's hight cheek bones that are so sweet and beautiful. It's hilarious watching people all over the world spitting sweet cheeks and posting in chat they see him. So we all watch to find him. We have a ball in chat. I have met lifetime friends from all over the world. There are people from the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Ireland, United Kingdom, France, Nova Scotia, Australia, Germany, Georgia, Alabama,Tennessee, Virginia,West Virginia, Virginia Beach, Ohio,Illinois, Florida, California, Texas, Mississippi and other places. The gentlemen who runs the cameras at Graceland is called Mr. Cam Man. He's worked at Graceland 40 years. His job is to keep the main cam running, as well as the Elvis bedroom cam and meditation garden cam. Sometimes the cameras go offline for various reasons and he gets them working again. He is also in chat with us and shares stories about things that go on there and things that went on many years ago. He will answer our questions, the ones he is allowed to answer. He is a special person and we all adore him. We are true Elvis fans in that chat room and it's incredible how much people know about Elvis from other countries. I had no idea Elvis was so loved from all over the world. Just today, I have been in direct contact with 3 other chatters outside the chat room that are now my dear friends. So you see there's so much more to the physical aspects of the mansion and stories about it. There is a group of us who are sight unseen who are watching every second and talking about Elvis. It gets wild in the chat room sometimes and so many different points of view on many subjects. We also talk about our private lives and families. Everyone is welcome there.

Really am enjoying your in depth descriptions of graceland.....on another subject, you mentioned Michael Jackson carving his initials in a tree. I can plainly see a face in the tree. I do not know if it is carved in or shadows, but there it is plain to see. You know, native Americans believe that each tree has spirit living in it ( which I personally believe myself, but I have native ancestors) but than so did elvis.❤❤❤

Maybe it's like the group that broke into the mausoleum where Elvis was buried to begin with in the city cemetery. They wanted to steal Elvis body and were fortunately caught. Nothing surprises me at how this man has been adored and hated at the same time. Elvis was a beautiful man with a beautiful heart.

The hallway leaving the pool room there is a picture to left that I always liked. When I was there last week I took a picture of it and was comparing to other pictures I have taken and one my daughter took and she noticed something that we had never noticed before. The time was different on the clock in the picture on all the photos so I checked the time on my phone to see if it matched up with the time on the picture and it did so I guess it’s a working clock. Do you know the story on the picture? Also I did find the carving in the tree that Michael Jackson did so thanks for pointing that out to me. I took a picture of it but for some reason it didn’t come out which was a bummer but at least I did see it.

I just wanted to correct you… the Trophy Room wasn’t the basement room. The Trophy Room was the Hall of Gold.. You went out the end doors of the music room, through a covered walkway, then into the Trophy Room. ( Which was built on top of the former patio near the pool. When I first went to Graceland, they were still dubbing that as the Trophy Room back then… then they called it the Hall of Gold.
