Koro, Okayu, and Fubuki have prefixes that are Shinto spirit references right? But is Mio's also like that, or is it just "Wolf" ?

Shinobu Pretty sure it’s wordplay. Ookami can be read as “wolf”, but the kanji “大神” can also be read as something along the lines of “great god/spirit”.

@@shinobu5359 Adding the O at the beginning of some words is used to denote a greater thing than the normal one. Ookami as far as i know is best translated as Great Wolf instead of just being a normal wolf

@@PrimeGamator Nope, you're wrong on that one. That O you''re thinking of is really 大. But the word "wolf" in Japanese does not use that 大, it's just ookami (狼),. The word 狼 is pronounced the same way as 大神, so it's wordplay. Interestingly, the reason they are pronounced the same way is that, formerly, before they were hunted to extinction, wolves were worshipped as divine messengers of the mountain god Ooguchi no Magami. Meaning that the root of the word 狼 is really 大神, wolves were considered "great gods".

It seems that Fubuki is a great senpai. I really respect her for keeping up with the trends while keeping her personality. But even more so, she seems to really try her best to treat others well. That's not to say she's the only one to do that, but it really feels like she has an infinite wealth of... I guess experience that she just exudes. super respect for the fox. super
