In this video, we fixed the solar system of a school bus conversion that was struck by lightning. We had previously worked on this bus two years ago, and the owner, Blake, reached out to us for help because his wife is due to have a baby soon. We assessed the damage and found that the lightning strike had damaged the solar panels and inverter. We replaced these components and ensured that all the wiring was correctly done.

Ahhh! A puppy! I traveled for several years with my Border Collie, Finnegan. Some time in my 5th wheel, then only in the bed of my truck. Finn and I went from Florida to Alaska, thru Canada on Great adventures. I committed to re-doing the bed of my truck semi- permanent last summer. Before I could enjoy it my buddy, Finn died. So I have not ventured out in the remodel. Michael, you will enjoy your puppy, Oakley so much. Thanks for sharing

Good thing your friend installed a low frequency inverter charger instead of one of those cheap, short lived, high frequency, transformerless solar generators that everyone seems to be installing.

Congratulations on getting a Border Collie!!! Best smartest dogs ever!! Mine was the most intelligent animal ever - no thanks to me... I went with a mini Aussie for my next one as I did not want to always be comparing the two. Think I want to get one more dog and it will be a Border!

So how do you ground a bus? Having received damage in my home from a transformer on the power poll, I have try to use power serge strips and unplug important things. LOVE the puppy!!! So glad you got a bus dog :D

Nice video! Your pupper is absolutely adorable. I have a question if you have a sec, I read that a battery isolator won't work with Lithium Ion batteries, is that entirely true? Trying to figure out if I need to send mine back for my setup 😂

The system was wired correctly when I first checked it. I am not sure there was much he could have done but parked the bus somewhere else that day. Glad no one was in the building or bus at the time.
