Something many people miss is that Nolan also says "Remember all the good I did.", in addition to a clue about the books, Nolan makes sure that Mark will follow through even if Mark hates him. He knows Mark wants to see the good in him so he wants Mark to remember the good he did so that Mark will hesitate to deny his final request.

Thanks, that means a lot! Personally, I think a majority of the things in the comics are quite rushed at times. The show adds some details and makes the show more impactful IMHO. One of the best examples I can give is that Mark's character in the comics isn't nearly as fleshed out as he is in the show.

this video is absolutely great and deserves way more views, you have a great voice that is easy to listen to for 40 minutes. not that its something in your control, but i find lots of video essay people have very excitable voices that can feel grating after listening for a long time, but yours is simple and fits the tone of the video perfectly. 10/10 would watch again

One of the things I like about this season is that they made Anissa look a little bit uglier than in the comics. Since Anissa in the comics is hot (likely Kirkman’s fetish), it made the readers treated her raping Mark as a joke, with female readers finding it funny and male readers saying “It should have been me. Lucky Mark.” Making her ugly would make her action less acceptable but it also fed into a harmful trope of “You are only evil if you are ugly”.

one thing bothers me, anissa said that she is aware that mark is talking with someone via microphone ( cecil ) and cecil knows that yet still says to mark to make fake surrender ? was it some long period time or what ?

It wouldn't matter to Anissa either way. They will be taking over Earth regardless, and if it's a fake surrender, at least they know that they'd be able to control Mark if he gets overwhelmed. Him actually saying the word "NO!" is disappointing to Anissa because she sees it as a betrayal to her kind. At the end of the day, the main reason she went down there was to try and convince Mark, and since she can't do that, they'll probably have to kill him. Since the Viltrumites see their kind as superior above everyone else's, they'd be disappointed that they'd have to kill a Viltrumite with so much potential.
