Hey guys I totally missed this but I think that flashback that they showed while the Martian was explaining his backstory was to show us that the Sequids have taken over and are now planning on conquering Earth (or any other planets really lol). They are not going to see them coming because they’re all still reeling from Omniman so I feel like there might be a lot of devastation in the beginning of this invasion but they’ll probably turn it around in the end? I hope 🤞

this episode is one of the ones that prove that it has something the boys will never have. and thats heart. there's so much heart in this show and thats my only criticism of the boys. its extremely lacking that aspect.

I don't think Cecil sees Atlantis as part of his..."job". He really seems to be dedicated to protecting his country, but I don't think his intentions reach out to other countries or species

I love that Midnight City is a reference to Gotham literally always being depicted at night in Batman: The Animated Series. The only time it’s shown in the day is in an alternate “perfect” universe.

Giving your piece of mind to the people you're trying to self stuff to is a good way to fail to sell it - and possibly to get fired while you're at it. Also, when the people who were cheering on as you're getting murdered suddenly face the consequences of their actions, it's perfectly reasonable to let them take it good and hard. Good for Mark to help them anyway, but they're in no way his responsibility and Cecil knows that.

In Season 1 a Martian took the shape/image of an astronaut & came to earth, we saw him manipulate the flag on his sleeve. We also saw the astronaut left behind with the Sequids, on Mars. I think it's bigger than cloning, but a) I don't know for sure & b) I don't want to spoil, great reaction

Shapesmith (the Martian) definitely isn't infected by a Sequid because the Martians' shapeshifting abilities prevents take over. I think the whole back and forth thing between Shapesmith and mars was to show what is currently happening on mars due to Shapesmith taking the place of the human astronaut and leaving the astronaut there on mars to get infected by the Sequids. So Shapesmith left with Mark and the other astronauts before the Sequid takeover or whatever happened. We still don't know why he came to earth though 🤷🏾‍♂seems to want to help people to be fair.

To be fair, I get the self-confidence thing but there’s also self-confidence in knowing when to ask for help. To be even more fair, they’re even lucky that Eve thinks about them and is more than willing to help after what the dad has put her through. Most parents aren’t that lucky at all. The dad needs to work on self-esteem and all of that, and that’s knowing when to accept help from the daughter he’s been treating like shit for 18 years.

This Amber romance is really uncomfortable and out of nowhere after how she was in the first season. I mean, I know that this is what she's supposed to be like in the comics, but that's not how she's been in the show.

It's weird but I actually find myself agreeing with Eve's Father on a lot of his view point this season, even if he does come across like a total jerk. If they would've taken that Golden Apple and sold it, the IRS would immediately been all over both her parents and locked them up. You don't just magically come into that much money. As for the accident with the empty lot, he's 2-0. Eve had the absolute best of intentions to help people recover from the attack before that she didn't consider why that place was empty. The construction lady even asked before "Is that up to code?" cuz that matters if her powers make indestructible things but everything around it is brittle and damaged. If they do it right, the writers could use this to let Eve learn a lesson from her father he might not know he's teaching her. The lesson being one of my favorite lines in GoW; Ragnarok "Intent doesn't matter, only consequences". Eve could learn that she has to have a measured approach with her powers, that even though she can create literally anything, doing so isn't always the right answer.

We really don’t need a recap. If we are watching this, we’ve already seen the episode.
