Hi friends!
Today I am doing a much requested Invisalign journey update - huzzah! I wanted to share my progress with it so far, what it has been like pain wise and some tips/ what I've learned so far. Hopefully this before and after of my Invisalign results after almost 3 months will be helpful, I am certainly very surprised by it. Let me know if you have Invisalign, how you're getting along with it and if you have any tips!

Thank you for this video!! My smile relates so much to yours if not worse😓 As a child, my mother never did anything about my teeth as far as keeping up with dentist appointments or straightening them out by the time I got older. I am now 31 years old and FINALLY being financially stable to do it myself. I am so excited for this journey and determined to make this change🤗keep us posted please🤗

So I was originally looking into smiles direct but after lots of research it seemed kind of sketchy, especially with the no orthodontist visits. So I decided that when the time comes and I have enough money I’ll play it safe and go with Invisalign.
@SandraSkaar
@SandraSkaar 3 жыл бұрын
I think you absolutely made the right decision! From what I have seen online, sketchy definitely seems like the right word to describe some of those alternative companies. I obviously haven't tried both, but I feel like it's 100% worth it to wait and save up and get a really good orthodontist and do Invisalign instead. Much safer and better than than do a cheaper option and have to fix that with Invisalign later anyways. At least I feel very taken care of and the process (so far) has been so worth the money! 💖 Thank you for watching 🤗

Thank you for this video! I'm on tray 1 of 31 and I just got my attachments a day ago and I'm having such a hard time taking the trays off because they feel so tight they hurt my upper front teeth, since I have overbite. I can see in the video you have attachments in all your front upper teeth, could you please give some tips on how to get them off painlessly or at least do it a little bit less painful? Thank you so much. New subscriber!♥️
@SandraSkaar
@SandraSkaar 3 жыл бұрын
Hi and thank you so much! I can see you posted this a week ago, how have you gotten on? My first week was definitely the most difficult and painful in regards to removing my aligners, but it has gotten a lot better thankfully!!). Some trays hurt for the first 2-3 days, especially removing, but because you get so much better at taking them off, the pain doesn't last as long (I would struggle for minutes getting mine off in the beginning, now it's a couple of seconds for each). So I think that the least painful way is the one my dentist showed me. I try to release the aligner from the attachments in as many places as possible before sliding it straight down. I always start by grabbing the back of the aligner and pulling it down. Then I do the other side and slowly release each side a little bit until I reach the front teeth and it slides off. If I just grab one side and pull it is *definitely* painful because it's pulling the teeth even more, when they're already sore. I have an overbite as well (as you can see), and I'm currently at the point in my treatment where they are moving backwards, so I can really relate to that being painful. If you find it difficult to grab the aligner, I found the little hook tool helps a lot. I hope you're having less pain now, and just hang in there 💖

@@SandraSkaar Hey Ruvi, thanks so much for replying! I'm sorry it took so long for me to write back, but I wanted to switch some trays and become more 'experienced' before telling you about how I was doing. At the end you were right and the way my dentist told me, which is the same they told you, was the easiest and fastest way to take my tray off. I've gotten so much better at it and at standing the pain the first two-three days after switching trays. I'm currently on tray 6 and I can say this is by far the most painful one, but I can already see a major difference in the teeth, so I can say that all the pain is definitely worth it! I'll stay tuned with your videos and updates. I love your channel. Keep up the good work girl and thanks again for being so nice to your subscribers!❤

Oh sorry, I should have clarified that here! I forgot to say it in my other videos and only went over it in the first one.. Yes I had to have extractions, only on my upper row. I had both my wisdom teeth removed so aaaall my teeth still had to move back, and they did 😊 Well, almost, I'm not fully finished yet, just some tiny gaps left to close. The last 4 were moving backwards the whole time and just the middle 6 moved forwards and then back. Hope that explains a little more! Congrats on getting started! That first tray was definitely the hardest one for me. I have had over 60 trays now and less than a handful got even close to being as painful as the first one, most have just been a bit uncomfortable and made my teeth a little sore for the first 2-3 days after every new tray. But with the first one still felt a lot worse because I wasn't used to it at all, taking it out hurt a lot (that no longer hurts with any of the aligners!), it just felt very alien and quite sore on the inside of my lip and cheek. @@SandraSkaar my partner says it’s actually not that bad and that most people don’t notice. But I am inside my body and as I speak, the air flows differently out of my mouth and sounds and feels unatural to me. But i’ll get used to it and maybe in a couple of months when my teeth get straighter, it’ll be even better?
