vinniecorleone62 I have only found one glass cleaner better than Invisible Glass. 3M glass cleaner in the spray can. It’s almost the same but slightly better that said irks not worth $10 to $12 when you get three cans of Invisible Glass for that price, and Invisible Glass is 95% as good. Best foaming glass cleaner is SprayWay, but it needs Invisible Glass or 3M to finish perfect.

I found this at Dollar General as I needed something to clean my huge bathroom mirror. I had been using Windex and it was streaking like crazy. So I tried it and ever since, no streaks and the mirror is staying much cleaner for a longer time. I even used it to clean the sink and it does work great. I love it.

Have noticed the Invisible Glass in spray can seems to work better than Invisible Glass pump spray bottle. I've found one has to wipe Invisible Glass off quickly before it dries, as if it dries too soon it will leave streaks and residue spots.

I like invisible glass, but don’t love it. It flashes way too fast in any kind of sun or warm windshield situation. I do occasionally use IG or Sprayway. I also get good results with waterless wash concentrates mixed as quick detailers, the surfactants do their job, while the water doesn’t flash as fast as alcohol (or solvent?) based cleaners.

Besides forming, how is this product different from normal everyday blue coloured glass cleaner? Do you recommend cleaning automobile glass with a clay bar and just plain water?
@HawkProDetailing
@HawkProDetailing 3 жыл бұрын
Outside glass...clay and soap is better. Water is a little too tacky. But you can't mess anything up, at all, by even grinding clay into a windshield lol. I would recommend something like a spray detailer. Rinseless wash product. Or soap ... as lube. Inside windshields? Magic eraser, high quality waffle weave microfiber towels...and glass cleaner of your choice. Follow up with an isopropyl alcohol wipe down...take 70 percent from your store and mix it with distilled water in a bottle. Use that and towel, maybe magic eraser if you need it. To fight streaks

A&A Professional Services uses a bucket of water and dawn soap with a damp towel to do windows (2 towel method of course.) I can't wait to try it out this season. If it cleans without visible residue, it would be a dream just to take a damp towel and go over the windows then buff clean. Maybe give it a shot? :) I've also seen this done with a bucket of 50/50 IPA and distilled water. I'm sure that would work, but its a little less convenient.

It's good at repelling water but fogs up super easy and as soon as your windows get dusty any attempt at cleaning them on the go just smears the dirt. I like Invisible Glass and use it every day I work (only 4 days a week now, I'm 'retired' :) I drive vans to deliver parts to auto part retailer satellite stores from the retailer (supply) hubs. Your point about it drying out quickly in the summer sun, is correct. I try to pull my van into the shade on hot summer days, it buys me a few extra seconds. I prefer Invisible Glass to a Windex product, because it does leave fewer streaks, but if you get a streak, just spray a little more on that area and hit it again. It's not rocket science, and it's not labor intensive, like trying to mix some rocket fuel glass cleaner of your own design. The sun makes things hot, liquids evaporate, water leaves streaks, it (LG) works better than any other readily available glass cleaner I've seen (not that I've tried them all, I haven't). My problem, is I can't open the stupid cap on the spray bottle to consolidate small amounts into a single container without a pair of vise-grips. What is that about?
