I'm a professional cleaner. A big key is to also do zigzag wipes. And also only wipe once in the same spot with the towel or cloth you are wiping and then use another square of the towel to go back over each section. with Circles you drag the dirt from the dirty part onto the parts you have already wiped/cleaned. Ends up being more work. Amazing video nonetheless. Wanted to give a little (big) tip for anyone wanting to clean it well in the smallest amount of time/work.

I use the rain x cleaner. That haze is the water repelant when it hazes like that buff it out with a clean paper towel and it makes water head up and roll off. But good comparison.

Invisible Glass Cleaner foam aerosol + 1 wet microfiber towel + 1 dry buffing microfiber towel = absolute bliss :)

Invisible Glass is a true streak-free formula. I used the original BMW glass cleaner and it comes a close 2nd. However, as with the BMW brand (it is overpriced). I used Chemical Guys glass cleaner (the green one) and it left streaks. I only use 1 towel to wipe and dry and I felt that the Invisible Glass didn't even require the buffing/drying part. Really convenient.

Windex also have a multi-purpose non ammonia version, would have been interesting to see the difference considering the massive price differences.

I use the yellow bottle of rain-X. Works great and when it rains, water beads roll down. No need for wipers

I use the Invisible glass with Magic Eraser then wipe off with microfiber cloth. Followed by a water rinse using the waffle weave e-Cloth (glass cleaning kit) and immediately dry off the water film with eCloth polish cloth. Excellent combination for both the inside and outside of the windshield. This is the only technique that I have found to completely eliminate streaks.

Would have been interesting to see these vs a control like water, white vinegar water mix, or some other always available home mixture. I wonder if the Rain-X leaves more residue because it is supposed to have the water beading or repelling affect of most Rain-X products. You could test that too I suppose, how well they prevent new substances from sticking and allow water to roll off the surface. If this video does well, maybe do a follow up with the control substances and testing how well they hold up under harsh conditions. A truly clean surface should be less sticky, after all, less microscopic bumps for contaminates to stick to and make it look dirty again. I tend to just go with Windex, but I do agree it is a bit harsher and I don't trust it on all surfaces or items that may soften like stickers.

I'd like to see vineger/water added as a DIY solution to compare too. Streaks should be able to be eliminated instead of letting dry, otherwise they'll be visible in fog or humidity. I need a cleaner that dries instantly on wiping while still cutting through anything. The RainX didn't evaporate because it's a repellant too, and is supposed to be buffed. (i think)

Thanks for doing this. I'd be interested to see an update with a face-off of Invisible Glass and Windex Ammonia-Free Crystal Rain. And maybe a comparison of wipe patterns. I just tried circles and found out that only smears dirt around. Someone here commented about zig zags. Up and down seems best so far.

To give the products a fair chance you should of wiped them off with a second pepper towel just to see best results and after pore some water over to see if any of them repel water

I use a real soap solution. Diluted 409 is great, but almost any other grease-cutting formula works too. Once the film has been scrubbed off the glass with that, I then use a towel damp with only water to clean the window. After that I’ll use an ammonia product like Windex to finish it off.

I have a 2009 Pontiac live in New York no matter what I do especially in the cooler weather I can never get a see-through clean there’s always a little streaker Bloch here or there. Windex doesn’t work either does alcohol however the alcohol with a little bit of water so far seems to work the best

Dash and glass on the inside is great because you can just spray it like crazy and makes it so the over spray is a good thing and you can finish your windows and then go over your dash and rest of the interior. It has a amazing smell to it, not like a candle. like the little trees tropical smell. Invisible glass is really hard to beat and is the best ive came across the board. It is perfect for all windows, its around the same price and a ittle goes a long ways or you can use alot to clean the windows on the first go around if you didnt prep them. another glass cleaner you can make that works amazing is water/iso/hydrogenproxide but trust me its almost as good has these. I always put a little iso on my drying towel to make sure there isnt streaks and it dries immediately allowing me to work faster and see the results.

Invisible glass in the direction say to use a microfiber tower, 1to clean 1 to polish, I just used it and was very impressed, it does exactly what it says.

I really do like invisible glass are use it on my windows on the interior it does a great job for sure however on the outside I use rain x because compared to all the others water beads up and rolls off your windows far better with rain X.

ONR to clean, Invisible glass to shine. sometimes I'll use plain rain x cleaner to touch up if I touch the glass by accident.

Would have preferred testing on interior surface of windows which is the real challenge, due to film from off-gassing from plastic parts, especially dashboard.

They do have Windex with no ammonia and would usually rinse with water first to get loose dirt off before scrubbing with anything!

What do you think of Dirtex to clean your car windows. My wife says it is the best glass cleaner ever.

I suppose if your vehicles windshield is / gets splattered with bugs . A liquid spray would be better than a foaming one . And to use 0000 zero steel wool and or a special razor blade scraper .
