To be fair... this wasn't my verbiage this time. Apparently that's the sentiment going around inside of Apple. The potential changes Apple has coming between some level of redesign, AI throughout the OS, RCS, vastly better Siri, and plenty of other changes we don't know about, it seems pretty substantial. We'll see if they're overhyping themselves!

@@miketorre16 Being an apple customer isn't just about being an iPhone customer, it's also the other products that work with it. If you have airpods, apple watch, ipads, macs, etc, they will work best with iPhone. In fact, apple watch doesn't even work with android and you can't update airpods firmware or customise certain settings unless you have an iPhone connected to it.

We have 6.5 inch screens yet the application folder still can only show 9 apps at a time and then you have to scroll in a tiny window…. They should open up like the categories in the App Library. Options to resize icons to android size.

There’s a workaround where you set it up in the shortcuts app. You set up an automatic action and set the time and message. You have to turn it off, though so it doesn’t repeat

They should add in IOS 18 a Translate mode in calls. So like the S24, you’re able to press and hold the translate button and if the other person has iOS 18, then it will work. This would be super useful for like people who don’t speak English, or your on vacation and you need to call a taxi or something.

my iphone and android phone trading blows but kudos to android os allowing me to easily transfer music and be able to emulate ps2 ps3 games and gba games also download torrents while my iphone now I can only sync with a Macbook to transfer music and apps and no emulator (workaround available) or torrent support

I wish Apple would give us a number row for the keyboard and a graphic equalizer. I switched two years ago but even prior to that we Samsung users have had a graphic equalizer for several years. There's no good reason that we shouldn't have those features since they're both software hence absolutely no changes in manufacturing.

Make Siri more integrated with shortcuts and display automations through the spotlight swipe. Have the AI recognise performed tasks and enable them to be linked to other tasks via automations. Have Siri make suggestions about creating these links by understanding your actions on your phone. Also allow these tasks to be prioritised based on a location, time or a focus mode. AI should work for you and be useful.

It sounds like you are probably someone who has never used anything but an apple, smart phone, which is fine. But take it from someone who has lots of experience from both iPhones and android and trust me being able to put your apps exactly where you want them on a page is huge and when switching from android back to an iPhone, it is something that will make you want to pull your hair out. We get so used to these devices that a lot of times it is like muscle memory to access apps in a certain place that we are used to them being on our screen. With an iPhone if you download a new app and decide to put it somewhere on a screen, it moves everything else which is unbelievably maddening.

@@diversedad7954 I’ve had a couple of android phones and Windows phones in the past. Just never really cared where I can put an app on my phone. I tend to group apps in folders depending on type and keep the screen limited to my main go to apps. Absolutely get that people like to be able to personalise their screens how they see fit. But I just don’t see that as a main selling point of a phone or an operating system. I’m more interested in how the OS runs, it’s general functionality and now how it uses AI to evolve the user experience.

I hate most how you cannot put your pics and vids in folders without deleting them from main folder...you have them all organised but you have 5 thousand pics and vids in main folder folder still...

Yes, everything is in the library, then they are filtered or organized by the albums you group them into. This also allows them be in multiple albums at once.

I really don't care at all about home screen rearrangement. It's irrelevant for me. To me iPhone is about "Just works", everything else is irrelevant.

Just let us customise man like properly Update the look of the phone Give us a better screen Better battery More ram More POWER!! Better cooling Put a solar panel so we can charge it outside Can’t even play Xbox cloud on them not that I personally care I hate phone gaming but there’s millions out there that would love this!! There’s so much more they can be doing and we get an updated AI that’s not gonna work lol 😂

Every year we get told that the iOS version will be the best and biggest updates EVER lol 😂 and we get the same old stuff with a few little changes. I have stopped listening to the hype and just accept that what I get is what it’s going to be. I seriously wish that you and the other KZfaqrs would stop sensationalising the iOS versions as game changers when in fact/reality they are just enhancements to an already established version.

You KZfaqrs are so optimistic about iOS 18. I think you will be disappointed. But it is entertaining to watch videos of such optimistic KZfaqrs with so much excitement and enthusiasm. In recent years, iOS has only been touched up a bit because it seems satisfactory enough for the customers. Except for Siri who is still a bad joke.

Ya know, I'll take optimistic! I think it's better than pessimistic any day! To be clear, I'm tryin to cover what's being reported. It is internally at Apple that they're describing this as the biggest update to iPhone. Between AI overall, some level of redesign, Siri 2.0, and so much more, that sounds pretty notable.
