I just love this walk down memory lane - thank you very much. I met my wife in Ios in 1987 and haven't been back since the late 90s. I feel like I'm back there and many years younger☺

wow incredible ,, the place where i get the idea to become a world traveler ,, exxxactly 30 years ago , it was my first country or place that i have ever visited , eversince i am a semi or and permanent traveler , and i think without Ios i would not be a Traveler

A far cry from my memories of Ios as a little youth in the mid 70's getting a donkey trek across the island and eating sea urchin eggs on the beach with the hippies. Still, it looks like a different kind of paradise fuelled by pharms and alcohol, not Greek herbs.

My brother Tony-. part owned a bar there The Tomato Bar don't think it IS there anymore. He loved it on that Island.

Who remembers , Bar 69 , The Why Not Bar , Village Bar , Blue Note , Homers cave , Dimitri and his Sweet Irish Dream ( used to be a sheep farmer then went on holiday too Ireland hence name ) watching Videos of Midnight Express at the Far out Cafe , Drakos Bar , Francesco pension with Maria , Olympic Flame Pizza and on and on ! From late eighties, I also took my girlfriend here in 89 , been married 37 years now ! Happy Days . Debbie Coxhead you still about ? Love ❤️ from Gavin x

Hi, I've wanted to party in ios since I heard about it in 2019. Obviously I couldn't do so for several years after that. My friend went when he was 26 in 2019 and said it's a 21 yo party scene. What is it like now? Is it a young scene? My wife and I are in our mid 30s. Some places like new York we are average age, some places we are the weird old people. Can you possibly advise? Thanks so much 😊

The island is very beautiful whether you are over 30 or not The nightlife of the island is for young ages that want to party like tomorrow never exist and these parties usually start after 12:00am If you like parties you will enjoy Ios. Note that this video was captured at 11:00 pm

Last time I went out clubbing in iOS town , till 6am , was about 6 years ago and I had the time of my life, as I have had every time . I’ve been to iOS at least six times in the last 20 years and I am now 57 years old, I have never seen age as a problem there, and never had any problems out at night , just try not too over do it on the drink ha ha.

Last year in IOS there were 3 murders all related to the drugs war raging between Romanians,Albanians and the greeks themselves . The Romanians circulated BAD poisoned drugs which killed two young irish lads , this was a warning to all those trying to stop them selling the drugs there . The island is also in the grip of a wave of American students who spend nothing and so the high end resorts and clubs are closing, Pathos lounge etc have closed early for the season as they cannot operate and cannot cope with the drug scene . Absolute shame but thts what happens to an island when its that good....the bad guys move in .

over the years ive noticed to many Romanians and Americans on the island, its becoming unsafe and a little bit like Benidorm

@@harmidis The drugs on the island are being controlled by Romanians , two irish men died within hours of each other are drug party ? Sorry...you must accept the truth that IOS is now known as a dangerous island ...more police are needed on the island to stop the drugs .

Police can’t stop these incidents This is happening in every well known tourist destination that have a vibrant nightlife You just have to be aware to stay away from drugs and cheap alcohol in weird bars. I was in IOS for 7 days I was going out every night. If you are careful and you don’t drink like tomorrow never comes you will be absolutely fine and you will enjoy the vibrant life of ios

Haven’t been since 1991. Spent 6 weeks there. So much fun. Remember a place called the Sweet Irish Dream and the Farout café down on the big beach. It looks like an older crowd than back then. Italian guys were pests! Looks a lot more civilised now. Thx for the memories
