Good Stuff. I had a query. For the irrigation project, where is the sensor installed? Is it in the soil? Will the sensor in the soil will have FOG architecture and Operating System or it would just relay the information to Arduino board? If there is no OD and processing being done by sensors, how does it communicate with Arduino board?

The Soil Moisture Sensor uses capacitance to measure dielectric permittivity of the surrounding medium. The sensor averages the water content over the entire length of the sensor. The soil moisture sensor would be connected to the Arduino. The sensor module contains a potentiometer with it, which is used to set the threshold value.

What so u mean by peocessing the data at gateway level in fog computing ? Can u plz explain me in detail. & whats the difference btw fog & edge computing

The main difference between edge computing and fog computing comes down to where the processing of that data takes place. Edge computing usually occurs directly on the devices to which the sensors are attached or a gateway device that is physically “close” to the sensors whereas Fog computing pushes intelligence down to the local area network (LAN) level of network architecture, processing data in a fog node or IoT gateway.
