Drove an 818 a lot , along time ago, Get you a3 inch extension for your shifter, see if it makes it easier to shift. If you truck still has the transfer case in it, use low range in the fields, will save a lot of wear on the drive line..We made our wheel seals out of file folders. Best of luck with harvest.

Once you get a grain cart. You wonder why you did not get one before. Now I want a pit. I am using a 375 plus extension as my “pit” this year. Dumping from @600 bu cart in it. (Only filled to 500 bu max as @2 mile longest road distance.). Much faster, easier then boxes. Honestly trucks would slow me down. Even when I farmed West farm. 3.5 miles by road. I should have bought a grain trailer decade ago. It would be worth more today. I bid on 2nd grain cart. Twin sister to mine. Just missed it.
