That siren you see in the video is 5 feet tall. Not very cute or little.

A test every day? That's a bit too much in my opinion.

Why does a town of less then 200 people need a daily siren going off? Couldn't some one just step outside on Main Street and yell hey its noon everybody! And the entire town would know.
@tsg931 Жыл бұрын
Testing every week or every month is good enough! No need to activate sirens every goddamn day! Jesus Christ!
@EastDetroitMusic-Sirens3000A8 ай бұрын
Some sirens aren’t activated by emergency management if it’s everyday. It’s tradition in some towns around the United States to put a timer on the siren controller as a daily noon or evening whistle. Sirens with this ability only go off from 10 or less seconds.

Same in salix iowa. Its a frequency that's intent is to alarm. Idiots in small towns have control issues and are bored at city hall.

I would not have any issue with a siren across the street from my house or in my back yard. But I would absolutely fight that the siren is tested on a daily basis, verses a monthly afternoon test.

How Insensitive! It's not like she bought the house with siren all ready there. I work third shift, I couldn't imagine haveing a whistle in my front yard going off every day while I'm sleeping. A town this small does not need a daily noon whistle!

Sirens are more effctive than other methods of warning. The only problem here it the fact that is goes off daily, which is too much in my opinion.
@EastDetroitMusic-Sirens3000A2 ай бұрын
@@borkluchtalarmIt’s not the most effective way of warning since they’re only made to be heard outdoors not indoors. But it’s useful for specifically that purpose. The most effective way in my opinion is using a NOAA Weather Radio, Smartphones are exceptional but aren’t reliable most of the time because of human delay and the fact it’s able to be disabled in just the palms of your hand. The problem with this is its doing a full peak run before shutting off, these sirens can be programmed to do it half way before peak pitch or even lower. A silent test might also be optional. But have it go off once or twice a month at full blast in my opinion is good enough but it always just depends on the area its in.
