Lol, i love how positive you are about these new ipads while everybody else is hating on them ... I personally kinda like them, i havent thought of what you said, its not actually a power device like the ipad pro, it could be used as a device in restaurants, hospitals, classrooms etc. It changes completely my perception of them.

Yeah, people need to understand that (yes, I think iPhones are stupid expensive) but for something thr will basically be your desktop for the amazing display, iMacs are perfect, want a portable laptop for mail or browsing, but also be a to use egpu? Macbook 12 inch, 13, or macbook pro 13 inch, want a laptop beast? Get the macbook pro 15 inch, want something for restaurant? Ipad or mini, want something productive and pro? Ipad pro, but most people think it “sucks” cuz it cant run “fortnite”

The Huawei Mate 20 X seems to be a more viable option... It's screen is huge, and watching videos or playing games isn't tedious considering it's not as bulky as a tablet but offers upwards 7" screen...

The iPad mini is used so often for restaurants, classrooms, and more! Some place most people don't realize is pilots use iPad minis often! We use them for lessons, have all our manuals on them, flight planning, and navigation. Since the iPad mini is so small, we often fly with it on our lap. Thanks apple for finally updating the iPad mini!

As someone who bought the 12.9" iPad pro 2018 I was hoping for a mini with the new pro design, USB-C and pencil v2 support for compatibility with my new accessories. I'd have happily taken an A10/11 in it to cut down costs as I just wanted the mini to keep around the house.

Love that Apple finally updated the ipad mini. I always loved the form factor, and needed to replace my 5 yr old ipad mini 2. Still, i do wish the new mini got the flat edged design and was able to use the apple pencil 2. But who knows if they will ever update the mini again. So i nabbed one.

I have the iPhone XS Max but the iPad mini is still my favourite Apple product as well as my most utilised. Can’t wait to get the new one. Super fast and lots of storage.

After 4 months of my iPad mini 5th Generation, I love it so good there is a Keyboard delay at times when I try to enter something on chat or in game like 5 or 6 times I have to try but it’s ok I mostly use it for gaming, streaming and editing my videos to post on KZfaq but overall it’s a great iPad and it’s my first iPad to own I’ve always wanted one cause I get 60FPS on every game like I rate this iPad mini 9/10 definitely worth to purchase!

My slate iPad mini original is still sitting in my drawer. It’s got a chip in the glass and is VERY bent but still works pretty perfectly. The iPad mini was always a great device and I doubt this one will be an exception. Now that I have an iPad Pro, I see no use for one. I have Apple Pencil two, keyboard, and way more power with the pro. I hope the mini sticks around though.

Is the 10.5” iPad Pro the better option to buy for a new digital artist over the new iPad Air?

If we are comparing drawing capabilities only: iPad Air - cheaper, has a pretty big processor advantage which means it will be more future proof iPad Pro 10.5 - has 120hz refresh rate, a bit more ram which will give you more layers, still a capable processor (I have the 10.5 and I'm running affinity photo and procreate with huge brushes on 3000x2000 canvases with no stutter) Procreate usually gives me a limit of 40 layers on such resolutions. non related to drawing: iPad Air - has bluetooth 5.0 iPad Pro 10.5 - quad stereo speakers If I was considering these devices *only* for digital art, I would probably slightly lean towards the Air for the processor alone, I don't think 120 hz refresh rate really matters that much tho it's really nice to have. I have no device on my hand to compare 60 vs 120. I think the ram difference is 1gb which will not be a big deal also IMO.

Catherine Boylan same I love my mini 2 but it’s getting quite slow and the some apps just randomly shut down or crash so I’m thinking of updating.

Ultimate HoW Toos I don’t thinks professional artist would use an iPad mini. It’s tiny compared to an average sheet of paper. I think like middle schoolers would use it for art

I actually still use my first generation iPad mini. Rocking the ios9 😂 I think it is so cool that the new ones support apple pencil now!
