Usually this happens when someone tries to replace screen or touch or both without disconnecting the battery first.

Does someone have the schematics for this ipad board? I need the value from few resistors, the ones under the FPC conectors. Thanks.

How much for this mail in repair? I have the same exact issue because I forgot to disconnect the battery before replacing the screen. There was a spark and smoke when the touch flex cable touched the fpc connector incorrectly. It turns on just fine, so I hope it’s only the filters I blew.

Why do you sometimes use the tweezer and sometimes the hot air gun? Using the tweezer works also and you are preventing the damage of the connector?
