I wouldn't be calling this a replacement for the iPad Air line just yet. iPad Air 3 will happen. When? No idea. Features? Probably the same as the Air 2 but streamlined for the Air line... So two speakers, no Apple Pencil support or keyboard support etc.... But obvious internal upgrades.

Honestly, most of these new "features" of the newer iPads don't really constitute an upgrade from my still fast iPad 4. Jailbroken with iOS 7, it still performs well and i can get most of the newer features of iOS 9 from Cydia.

+Jessie Meade I would advise the same. The Air 2 is an almost 2 year old device. The Pro's going to last you for much longer - that A9X chip is just crazy fast!

iPad Pro Air 3! Hey Siri is always on on the 9.7", it's curious that the 12.9" doesn't support that.

It looks nice. If I didn't have the iPad air 2 with 128 GB and cell coverage which I upgraded from the iPad 4 with 64 GB of RAM I would consider upgrading to this. I don't see enough improvement to warrant changing from the iPad air 2 at this point in time.

ZoneofTECH , I am an artist and I am unsure if I should rather buy the 12" or the 9,7" one. I would mostly just use it for sketching and some graphical stuff. Would be great if I can use things like Photoshop without any performance issues. What would you advice me?

Hey Daniel does it have a mute button or not? I really hope it does, the biggest disadvantage ever with my iPad Air 2 is that it doesn't have a mute button

By the way, there is a difference, an iPad Air 2's speakers are closer to the home button whereas in an iPad Pro 9.7Inch it's further away, not a big difference but worth adding in terms of design/style 😛

get the air 2 it's cheaper and still pretty fast and theres no difference in screen resolution. The difference will not be huge for you as you only will use it for media and a little gaming.

+Dealer Block I'm assuming you're referring to the new Night Shift feature? Then if you're on your iPhone, swipe up to enable control center, and then enable it from there. But keep in mjnd that it's only available on iPhones and iPods running iOS 9.3 and later.

I think Apple is a little delusional if they think this can replace a computer. And their pricing restructure is BS. It's an iPad Air 3 with a jacked up price tag.
