Pedro, I want you to know how much I enjoy the 'wandering around the ruins' that you do. It's interesting looking at the details, picturing the time period, the effort, and the families that built and lived there. What a small world compared to what we experience...thanks

Had to laugh when you talked about horrible roads to Venice. I rod from San Moritz to Venice on a bicycle in the early 80s. Riding a bicycle through those "gallerias" along Lac Como was one of the most terrifying things I've ever done.

For you Google Earth/Map guys out there, I found the unnamed stone village at the start of the video...Locate Villa Margherita about 35 km NW from the heart of Turin, there is a road winding south from the East side of the village. Measure 1.6 km due south from the center of the village and there you are. "Street view" goes just a 100 meters past where Pedro was parked and you can confirm it easy with the view when he gets back on Atlas. Follow the road south to trace the snowy ride over the mountain...cheers

I recall that in Italy, Portugal and Spain, the highway toll companies charge the same rate for motorcycles as cars. Alpine tunnels have a slightly reduced rate for motorcycles. I know I’m biased but I think motorcycles should be free, the wear and tear on the asphalt is minimum and the time taken to stop, turn off ignition, remove gloves, find ticket, find cash and reverse procedure really holds up the flow of traffic at toll booths. I have dropped gloves, ticket has blown away and machine wouldn’t accept €50 notes or bank cards. I also received a fine in Portugal for missing a toll booth mid journey!

Got some strange road systems in Turin we got stuck round the fiat alfa factory. Funniest one was on another holiday, my brother ending up in the middle of Naples by mistake by Turing off the bypass in the hire car. When we finally made if back to the motorway he had to pull over and calm down 😂

I got an A-grade in GCSE Italian in 2006 and sat here smirking at your attempts to speak Italian despite knowing mine's barely any better. Stuck on a long road with few exits, too many traffic lights and random, arbitrary fluctuations in the posted speed limit every few hundred metres.... Sounded almost as if you were describing most major British routes, I guess it's much the same the world over.

Every gas station in Italy has it for free by road security laws since I believe 2007 or 2008. Actually the guy at the stop did him a favor inflating in the car workshop but then he told him "there is a free one right by the carwash over there".

In Italy the police do not joke, yes maybe if they see that you are a quiet person it is ok, but as soon as they see something strange they stopped you, in fact in Italy there has never been a single terrorist attack in recent years, especially Islamic, while other European countries have unfortunately had. The secret services and the Italian police in general work very well when needed

@JuChams 2 жыл бұрын
Because in many countries it's free at almost every gas station and you might not know that's it's not the case in other european countries like Italy ? Also, asking for services is not the same deal in different countries. I never had even the idea of buying a compressor when i lived in France or in Japan, had to buy one here in Italy to stop asking the garages.
