Well if we look deeper into it, I think he calls us his "friends" because he may not have any. Taimur is his brother that he leeches off (see "Not Overthinking" podcasts, specifically when they explain Ali using Taimur's TSR account). Molly is his academic superior, do not get confused with friend her - common mistake. I kid.

I’ve had an iPhone 8 since it came out and I honestly thought the camera was crap compared to the newer iterations, yet because of this video, I’ve come to the conclusion it’s not that bad at all.

I've got an iPhone 8 too, and I totally agree with what he said in the video. The only reasons that would justify the upgrade (camera only) is the "modes" (night mode, portrait mode, etc), not quality itself.

@@utubefreak7167 If you ever considered shooting in RAW, can recommend Halide (paid app) + Lightroom. With some training, you can produce really compelling photos with this setup.

I'm more of an android fan, but you make a very good point. Instagram cant even process all the quality of the new cameras after compression, so the real-world difference in quality is almost non existent. MKBHD did a blind camera test on 5 million people and people chose some $300 android over iPhone when the names were hidden. Just goes to show, any modern phone takes great pictures that capture memories. And if your a professional photographer using the photos for more than just capturing memories then you will be using a DSLR anyways.

Great comparison, and great message - 'do we really need to focus on the cameras as much as we do, when they all do a good job on catching the moment?' As an iPhone 7 user considering upgrading to the 11, was interested to know more about the differences with them appearing to be a little greater, with respect to the others. Any more thoughts?

What makes this one the best camera comparisons is the fact that price was consistently referred throughout the whole of the video. Most tech KZfaqrs just mention it at the end without really thinking about the consumer. Great job man !

I like everything about these vid. The choice of graphics, his soothing voice and background music compliment each other. Plus for me, the review is more of a “realistic” consumer point of view. Can’t agree more, that yeah, you hardly notice the difference in each cam, because at the end of the day it was the “memories” that you really want to capture, and sometimes we just have to be creative to make it work. Stumbled upon this review after months of decision fatigue on what phone I should buy! It's really overwhelming, just the sea of options out there. I've been binge-watching these camera reviews and took mental notes of all the tech specs, forgetting the core message that of course I just want something that will keep my memories!
