@@keniekjain6074 No. Maybe once or twice my phone got warmer than normal but I spend a lot of time on my phone so those were anomalies. This phone just doesn’t get hot but the 15 plus has aluminum siding, not titanium.

@@krishnachaitanya4563 Battery life is very good when on WiFi, but on data (4G and 5G) it’s been ok and not as big of an improvement over my iPhone 12 Pro Max which had a much smaller battery. Ending the day at around 20-25% with 5hrs screen on time when I’ve been on data all day, which is about the same maybe a bit better than my 12 Pro max but not hugely. While on WiFi all day I have done roughly 7hrs screen on time with 30-35% remaining. And heating issues I think that’s more people repeating what a few people experienced at the beginning of the iPhone 15 Pro launch, because I’ve had no heating issues, in fact my 12 Pro max was having heating issues saying it’s too hot to charge so needs to cool down even though my room temperature is at around 21 Celsius. My 15 Pro Max has had no heating issues at all.

@@krishnachaitanya4563 battery life is ok, it could be better but I guess that’s what you expect from having 120hz and AOD with wallpaper on I get between 7-8 hrs screen on time with 4G/5G on half the day and on auto screen brightness. Heating issues none at all, the phone gets warm, but honestly the heating issues were a little bit over exaggerated at the beginning, my 12 pro max would often say “iPhone too hot needs to cool down to resume charging”.

Well the 20 grams lighter phone is important to a lot of ppl. We all have our preferences. Given a choice between less weight and 120hz I'd happily take the lighter phone every time. 120hz is nice to have but not life changing and certainly not a must-have on a phone screen. I have a 14 pro and a 12 and after 5 minutes with the 12 I forget that it's 60hz. Sometimes I switch to the 12 just because it's so light at 164 grams.

Like other people have said 15 plus has better battery life due to it having a large battery like the Pro Max but it doesn’t have all the pro features to drain its battery quicker.

@@cameronleerodriguez 15 plus doesn’t have a bigger battery. A bit smaller in size actually. But due to it having an older chip, it’s less power consuming. And the screen is 60hz which saves a lot of battery life

@@carticactusI don't think A16 is that old to have a huge impact to the battery, in fact A16 is still powerful and optimized as A17. I believe it's more of the 60hz that makes a big difference to the overall battery consumption.

you nerd dudes are the only ones that care about that 120hz. can't you get over that not everyone give a s**t about it? it's an overrated feature that would just increase cost the base models price and would probably eat your phones battery. standard 15s works perfectly without that

Buy the 15 pro max or s23 ultra cuz the 60hz is pretty bad..i can see the difference everytime my phone goes into power saving mode and switchs from 120 -60 hz

@@str_w.h06 120 Hz is only good cus you were used to 60 Hz. Same thing when you go from 120 to 60... so at the end refresh rate isn't that important but it's a nice upgrade.

I also have 8p for 6 years, should I go for 15p or 15pm if my main uasage is browsing, checking emails, chatting, etc.?

Yes that is normal for the ip 15 pro which is why I don’t like it cause the battery is even worse than base 15.

I advise you to get the regular 12, provided that it is new, with a memory of 128. I previously had a 7 plus, and also a 15 or 15 plus with matte black, which are excellent + you do not need the Pro Max. Actually, you need the regular or the plus.

What are you gonna do on a 6.9 inch phone that you can't do on 6.7?? I mean how big do you want your phone to be? I bet if you could make calls on ipads you'd use that full time instead of phones huh? Just put all 10.1 inches right up to your ear.

The regular pros are kinda mid, the max is the way to go.

It's literally 6 grams lighter. If your telling me you can feel 6 grams you need to be a human scale.

High refresh rate display and better camera worth extra few hundred dollars. One fact about screens - you will hate worse screens after getting used to a good one. You will definitely notice the jerkiness.

Only heard this from a couple people. Seems like a physical issue.

If there’s too much going on in a scene (especially in dimmer lighting) or an object is just a little too close to the camera, the camera will get confused and just only focus on one thing (kind of blurring out the rest of the scene) and causing unwanted picture blur. I’ve experienced this as well with my iPhone 15 Plus and according to my research has been a pretty common problem with iPhone cameras for awhile. You need to be careful about how close your camera is to an object and may have to use “tap to focus” sometimes in dimmer lighting

@@robertsprague3981 exactly, correct. Apparently it’s a software issue and who knows when it’s going to be fixed. If it turns out to be a hardware issue then consumer protection law is gonna have to take care of it next year

@@VaneNaumovski Yeah, I think it mostly has to do with the “auto focus” feature just not always being super great in certain lighting conditions….I’ve experienced it a little bit on previous iPhone models, but not as bad as with the 15.

All OLED screens have it. It’s the way they adjust brightness. An OLED can only be fully ON or OFF, so the way to “dim” the screen is to flicker at various screens (turn it on and off very, very fast). There’s no other way. Meanwhile, LCD screens have a backlight, which can go brighter or darker. Now, advanced screens like the 15 Pro Max try to address the flicker in other ways, but it’s there still, except not as noticeable (which means it causes less issues for the eyes and brain).

@@pressrepeat2000 Yes but what I don't understand the 12 pro has less waves than the 15 yet it was released in 2020 there is something wrong when I look in certain videos, the 15, we see more waves than the old iPhone pro even without 120 Hz, and that I find strange

@@xgliderawmsx7066 The ”waves” depends on the brightness of the screen when the video was captured, on the PWM implementation, and the frames per second (fps) of the recording video. Generally, at full brightness many OLED screens have zero waves (because all the OLED’s are “on”) and at max darkness they have the most or the thickest waves as the, as the “black waves” (where OLED’s are off) is what creates the perception of darkness. Meanwhile in an LCD screen, darkness is created by giving less power to the backlight (like a dimmer in a house).
