I'm thinking of switching from android to iPhone for gaming. With android I have been able to seamlessly retrieve my old games and transfer them to my new phone using my Gmail account. Will I be able to do the same switching to iPhone? I've spent a lot of time and money on my games and thats something I'm worrying about lol

Yes, I also have a 13 mini I used for a year before getting the 15 PM, also 0 scratches, only a minor ding on body from a bad fall

Why would someone if a company claims that it’s 2X more scratch resistant and use fancy words like Ceramic Shield. And it’s cost more than $2000 Australian dollars and it’s screen scratches like 300 dollar phone.

the thing is - yes you can buy a screen protector BUT you have a company like (Apple/Samsung) that is flexing / praising their WOW Ceramic SHIELD / Gorilla Glass!! Scratch resistant 2x better than the previous one and bla bla then you realise, that it's just sh_t and you have a + 1300 USD phone that has sh_tty screen protection this is why I personally value more companys, that are making flagship level phones but cheaper - Google (Pixel 8 Pro isn't as expensive as Samsung or Apple) or maybe in the future it will be Honor or Nothing.

@@lukashorvath8797 Read how they mark it, they don't say it's scratch resistant, its "more resistant" just watch some videos, and you will see that ALL phone get scratches, if you pay 1500€ for a phone, you should protect it.

Thanks for uploading this it’s very informative. I did want to ask what is your memory storage on this? As I’m upgrading my 13 pro max to 15 pro max but I’ve always have 256gb does the larger memory capacity have a negative impact on the battery life for example the 512gb model?

That’s true, nothing beats muscle memory! And that is why I set it to the silent mode switch. That has been the main reason I use it 24/7 because I always switch between silent and ring

I love this phone and mine is the Black one. I traded-in a Regular-Model iPhone 13 which while decent enough, I was missing the Macro Lens & Larger display that my 15 Pro-Max has. I like to shoot Portrait Photography so the Max I figured would be the best one for making those portraits more flattering. Also I really like that I could now shoot uncompressed Video Directly to an External SD Card or an SSD so its making me think about shooting more video than I used to on my older phone. It certainly feels more premium & is more comfortable to hold than the 13 was for me! I’m liking the Dynamic Island too and its a clever use by Apple of what would normally be ‘just 2 holes’ in the display, they switch off the surrounding pixels to make it all happen!

i don't have a screen protector on my phone, nor use a case, and i only have 1 scratch that's barely noticeable on my screen. are you sure you're not putting it down too roughly or putting in a bag / pocket with other stuff in it?

Do you set your phone face down on tables? I have had mine for about 4 months and I have absolutely zero scratches on my screen, but I have kept mine in a case that has a raised lip around the screen.

I only use the action button for the camera. When I need to use the screen shortcut for the camera, it never works for me, I’m clumsy, so the action button helps me.

my action button is to open the shortcuts for camera app or the Blackmagic app. also set auto focus mode for no notifications when either the camera app or the Blackmagic app is open

I set the action button to open my camera. It’s basic but after training myself to do it after a few months, I’m now used to using it to quickly open the camera as I’m whipping out the phone. It saves 1-2 seconds and way more convenient than swiping or tapping on the screen IMO, and you do need to intentionally train yourself to remember to use it. When I set it to open other commands or complex ones, sometimes I get lazy to press it, but that’s just me.

To the action button: I set it to Video recording an really love it. Since my main task for it is to record videos. Just one push of a button and I never missed taking a quick video as in the past.

I freaking love my action button! Reminds me of my Moto droid one from the first smart phone ever owned. I have my action button shortcut for launching the Camera app! I don’t see why the 16 Pro promax series is rumored to have a video capture button as a dedicated button! It’s pointless to me where my action button has the same function!

You have the smoothest iphone they've ever made. The 13 pro max. That's the one i had then i switched to the 14 pro max and regretted it. You can definitely wait and see what the 16 pro max has to offer you are not missing out on anything.

You can use the action button to skip tracks without having to look at the screen when music is being played on a speaker. In my case, I have been taking eye drops these days due to medical condition. So after taking the eye drops in my eye i have to rest for 2 minutes atleast while having my eyes closed. So I have assigned the action button to the shortcut of 2 minute timer and after taking eye drops i just press the action button and rest until the timer notifies me of 2 minute completion. It's been helpful a lot. So you can see action button is really helpful to skip looking at the phone to perform a certain action. Everyone will figure out eventually that particular action that you can use the action button for. In my case skipping tracks and Eye drops Rest timer are tremendously helpful.

@@blacksheep337 I don’t have the 15 pro max but as a photographer that would be my phone of choice. The 120mm lens is amazing for a phone. Not even the galaxy can compete with it. And in low light situations, the 5x telephoto can even outzoom the Galaxy’s 10x zoom lol. It’s pretty insane

Apple vs Apple products connection is just so smooth and without any delay. Iphone bluetooth or WIFI vs Apple watch U2 or Carplay it's just so good.. That's the number one priority of a phone. Combined with good video and photo kwality makes this phone the best on the market..

Display scratches drive me nuts too. I'm ok without a case, especially with the new titanium chassis and color, but I will always use a screen protector. I notice zero difference in the quality of the display, and I have zero touch input issues, with a screen protector installed.

I hate it without a case because of the little lip around the edges. Apple should be able to make a more durable screen. They worry too much about drops and not enough about the scratches

@@AppleInsideryou have to choose one. Glass can't be both resistant to impacts and scratches. You choose one and double down on it. Until we have some sort of crazy new technology.

@@josephpepe2607 If you put a piece of glass on top of your iPhone... it sits above the screen. Giving a lip around the edge. It can't sit flush with the sides (or cases wont fit) so it has to sit in by a few mm. There's a slope or sharp lip around every screen protector. This doesn't matter if you have a case, but without, there's a lip.

I still have iPhone X. had it since launch in 2017, still works like a charm and works perfectly, but has slowly become lacking in all the new features introduced over the 7 years I’ve had it: - Battery has been replaced once but getting to the point where I do need a bigger battery - Display is smaller and I would like to try the Max - Cameras were incredible at the time but compared to now, they’re not great; I’d love to see a comparison between the X and 15 Pro Max to see how the cameras have got better over time as opposed to the normal comparison from the previous year’s model. - I still have 3D Touch and I will miss it when I upgrade - I would like to try out Mag Safe - iPhone X is no longer supported by the latest iOS version and only has security an bug fix updates, although still works just like it always has

I’ve never had a problem with screen protectors on my iPhone. As a matter of fact, I’ve had more problems without a screen protector as far as touch problems and glitching.

Yeah I just upgraded to the 15 pro Max and omg. The battery and camera is nuts. Now I came from a note 20 ultra. But I work 12 hour shifts and the phones still over 50% when I leave work at 7am.

I have a 14 pro max, just upgraded to a 15 pro max. The battery on my 14 pro max was amazing when I first got it. After a year it’s on 92% capacity and it’s nowhere near as good, it’s still great don’t get me wrong but those 12 months has aged the battery a considerable amount

Came to iOS with the 15 pro max, pre ordered mine and got it early October. I’ve only ever used android and I can happily say I will probably never go back. I’ve had nearly every Samsung flagship and NONE were this polished, the Samsung S22 ultra I had before this was the last straw for me with Samsung. Mainly because the battery was awful, I had to charge it 3x a day. The 15 pro max blew me away in that regard, I unplug my phone around 520am and by the time I come home 12-13hrs later I have anywhere from 60-75% battery left depending on my usage and that’s something I’ve never had with android. It’s a big deal for me and I love it.

@@Jonathan-fs8vi your mileage may vary but I would definitely recommend it. I know I couldn’t be happier, this thing is a joy to use and I don’t have to worry about it dying every 3-4 hours. As I type this, it’s almost 11 PM here and I’m still at 50% with five hours of screen on time. my daily average screen time is around 7 to 8 hours and that stayed consistent throughout the entire six months I’ve had this phone. I don’t need much more than that, but it could definitely give it. I have zero complaints.

If I could have had ISNC in my old alpine green 13 pro, I would have been happy to not have upgraded. The only reason I did was for Use c. Great phone. But a costly update

I have a Keyway leather case and a Flolab screen protector…I dropped my phone getting out of my car from an approximate distance of 2 ft or so. It not only cracked the screen protector, but it also caused the iPhone to have black outs on the top left corner. Took it to the Apple Store, turns out there was no actual damage to the glass of the iPhone so they fixed the issue for free. That being said, it does seem like the 15 pro max is very fragile, but in some ways it is also very resilient…if that makes sense. In any case, I am not regretting trading in my 12 PM just yet, because this phone is absolutely incredible. But time will tell I suppose 🤷🏻‍♂️

Im convinced the only people bored is the tech community on X aka Twitter. They see stale, and I see consistency, product maturity, and refinement. Imo plus upgrading your phone yearly makes no sense anymore. I could easily go 3 or 4 years and not have to upgrade.

New screen protectors come with an excellent mounting system, so even an amateur can mount it without any dust, as it includes a dust-remover in the mounting process. I always use a screen protector. If my screen looks like the one you have, the device is trash to me. I go through about 1-3 screen protectors a year. No matter how much you take care of the screen, the oleophobic coating will wear off, and it wont feel as smooth, and fingerprint will show so easily. ALWAYS use a screen protector.

if you don't use a case, they still have a lip to them that I hate. Some are rounded, but it's still a raised lip. Plus, any tiny touch to the edges cause them to bubble and you have to swap them. It would be way better for Apple just to put on a better screen!

@@snowatom I dont think the problem is the glass scratching, I think it is the coatings they put on top. They put things like the ceramic shield and the oleophobic coating and those are easier to scratch. They can also still innovate in stronger, less scratch prone glass. Which is what they're doing and will come out in a year and a half.

My first iPhone was the 15 Pro Max. I tried for 4 months and gave up. I didn't get the user friendly selling point. A lot of small quirks in iOS that I couldn't figure out how to change or the phone just didn't do that broke it for me. Didn't use the action button because of its location.

Phone is decent. But after using the 11pm, 12pm, 13pm, 14pm and now the 15pm. The design has grown a bit stale. Function wise it’s great. But Apple need to stop being lazy and switch it up a bit. Here’s hoping the 16 pro series deliver cosmetic changes

When you upgrade too often, it’ll get played out. I haven’t upgraded since my iPhone 12 and got the 15 this year and it’s a nice upgrade

In the span of five months, I transitioned from using the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the Samsung S24 Ultra. Overall, it has been a positive experience, with only a few minor inconveniences. Occasionally, the device would fail to respond to touch input or the power button, requiring multiple attempts to wake it up. Aside from this, the S24 Ultra has proven to be a reliable and capable smartphone.

Quite frankly the iPhone 15 pro max feels same as the 13 pro max and 14 pro max and I use all the features and more than the average guy.When I use the other 2 as I handed them down to my girls,not too much difference

I just switch to the galaxy s24 ultra from iPhone and to be honest I’m loving my new phone best choice and it’s a beast and love the camera and screen will miss iMessage and FaceTime but I don’t care Samsung made a great phone

I'm sorry, I still think the iPhone 15 Pro Max is just a 12 Pro Max version 4. Same design and user interface. Hope the 16 is a genuinely worthwhile upgrade. Apple has to beat the S24U, so the 16PM should be really, really good.

I bought both the S24 Ultra and the 15 Pro Max, and I hardly ever use the iPhone. The S24, for the first time, feels like it belongs in a different league than the iPhone. It’s downright luxurious. Apple does feel kind of stale.

I’ve never had any issue with a glass screen protector ever and always have one on. Get what u have coming with putting nothing on a smartphone screen.
