It's hard to say which phone really is the best and I think it just comes down to personal preference.

The only thing I would change on my 15PM is to make the animations quicker. Other than that, it’s a great phone for me. My S23 ultra is a BA phone too. Just a little too big. I’ve used the spen maybe 6-7 times since I picked it up on release. The screen on it is I think, the best at its highest settings. The iPhone just works for me better. With the Wife and a son in high school, Apple is the go to for communication. I really like being able to quickly share my arrival time with my son when I’m in my way to pick him up after school via the maps in carplay. Both phones share a lot of similar capabilities, however, IPhone is what’s working best for me right now.

After 13 years on iOS, it’s gonna be S24 for me. No interest in being gouged by apple for iPhone 16: with 60hz, prob no aod, no Touch ID, not a pro chip, usbc 2.0, also no interest in eSIM, n countless missing features n customization that Samsung has. Samsung really tries to offer the most for ur money n apple does the opposite.

Great content. I agree that the s23 ultra is the best of 2023. The main reason is freedom. The freedom to make your phone yours. I can have a different live wallpaper every day if I want. I can use a different app launcher like Nova if I want. I can move my apps on my home screen up down left right. I can reverse wireless power share. Yes, can you do this on the iPhone 15 pro max using a wire, but that's not wireless power share. You can also turn the s23 ultra into a PC using a monitor doing it wireless. And can't forget the good old s pen. The iPhone 15pro max is a great phone. It's just to restricted by Apple to give you the freedom to make it your own.

I'm running iOS 17.1.2 on my iPhone 15 Pro. My battery life has been good to great, ranging from moderate to heavy use varying day to day depending on my daily demands. My preference is with the size and pocket able 6.1" iPhone 15 Pro. I easily get an all-day battery with plenty to spare after a busy day. I have not experienced any of the issues that seem to be what everyone continues to harp on however I believe these issues are way over exaggerated to the extent of KZfaq hyping these into a bigger issue than they are. Great review, very detailed and articulate.

I'm still using my S22 and I'm obsessed with it besides the battery life is subpar for sure and they fixed that with adding a bigger battery to the S23. I'm kicking myself for not researching that further. I mean it's not absolutely horrible if you're at home a lot but I leave for work with 100% battery and while yes I still usually have plenty of battery when I get home depending on how much I use my phone on my lunch break. I don't use it at all during work. If I forget to charge my phone overnight and I'm only at 20-40% I'm kinda screwed and will charge it on my lunch break when I can. If I take my phone out all day at a park taking photos of my son, I really KICK myself because my battery just goes down too fast and dies. A tech guy said the S22 won't last as long as a phone with a better battery so my phone may need replacing in 2 years (from new) noooo. I hope not. Because I'm sure my Galaxy S9 had the same battery size or close to it and that phone still works to this day but the battery is starting to get bad.. But I've had that phone for years. Upgrading to the S22 from the S9 didn't seem like a huge upgrade for my uses. Faster yes and a better camera.

I mean I have both s23 ultra and 15 pro max I think the 15 promax is the phone of the year based on the fact it will keep its value, the S 23 ultra trade-in now at Best Buy is 450 the 15 Pro max it’s 850, it’s like we’re becoming in the twilight zone with these phones. Everyone is trying to outdo the other when it comes down to it unless you’re making content a photographer or video editor. All you gonna do is text talk and browser web anyway and take a picture and hope it’s not blurry.😅 Now the S24 might be next year’s Phone of the year😊

Ok! So i have to ask. I have been an iphone owner since day 1! My last iphone 14 pro max was a piece of Sh*t! I was lagging like no tomorrow. Connection was brutal and barely worked!!! I have pixel 8 pro and works like a charm!!! Did i get crappy iphone device or is this the norm for iphones now day??? Has the connection been fixed on the 15?

I couldn’t get used to no proper file management,no drag and drop on a computer,having to offload apps just to clear cache in apps. The list goes on just missed Android too much

Jumping to android after 2 years on a 13 which I enjoyed. I tried pixel 8 and it’s nice but I don’t love the top heavy design, so probably landing on the s23 for a good mix of value, reliability (my biggest concern with the P8), and performance.

I'm not mad, I owned that phone and disagree just because of the finger print sensor Samsung chose to use. No way can I agree. I used different screen protectors and no screen protector...and the finger print sensor in 2023 is straight up trash. I don't think the iPhone 15 Pro Max (which I own) is the most innovative phone of 2023 and like you I couldn't care less about the Titanium....what I do care about is using the phone...I want a phone that works all the way around...including the eco system. The best phone is subjective and relative. Everyone has an opinion, and I appreciate yours.

I've yet to find a Android " in America that's sold by carriers in America" " that has as fast of a camera shutter as iPhone have you? One plus takes forever to process photos and i honestly have no clue why? I'll make it very clear i have not used all androids, but is this common for androids?

I don't agree with you. I've had the S23, S23 Ultra and now the iPhone 15 pro max. These 2 both deserve 1st place, both. Why is the S23 Ultra not the only number 1 for me; the iPhone is better at video camera, at zooming in and out and I take the same photo in a fairly dark room, a beer glass, the iPhone completely blew the S23 away and I'm sure I still had the S23 ultra at the time that that the same result would have been with that photo, it was a big difference. The S23 ultra is also very good and has other advantages; S23 ultra can open sites just a little faster than the iPhone. You can set more settings than with an iPhone. You can take a screenshot anywhere with the S23 ultra, but unfortunately not with the iPhone. Both have good battery life, the iPhone does a little better. The iPhone 15 pro max & the S23 Ultra both deserve the number 1 spot. Placing the iPhone at number 2 is not justified because of the video camera and photos in the dark, which are often a lot better.

Best Phone?...goes to the Xperia 1 V for me 😊 And I had an S22 Ultra and iPhone 13 Pro Max but ended up going back to my LG V60 because of better battery life and better photos...suprisingly. Thought about the Pixel 8 Pro but ultimately went Sony 🤓

I watched this video on 1440p and your video about the sony phone (wich is probably recorded with the 15 max ) and this video (right here) looks bettet to me , more vibrant colors (your facial hair)and more dynamic range (the light reflections on your forhead are not so bright on the sony, but ok this may be because you changed the lights position) The facial hair are looking less blurry on the sony video too

In my own personal opinion the 15PM checks the most boxes for me. Samsung and Google are close too, as well as Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo / OnePlus and others. But to me the iPhone just has the best combination of factors. Tho they are all great and I can see someone preferring a different combination of factors

I think if the 8 series didn't go up $100 and had ready or complete specs they wouldve been the phones of the year. The standard Pixel 8 seem to have unnecessary restrictions compared to the 8 Pro.

I think the best iPhone this year is not the expected one ...in my opinion it's the 15 plus ,it's more affordable,still get a great camera , excellent battery , good sound ,great screen ,shame it's still only 60hz but overall there's not a lot you can fault with it ,it does what most iPhone users will want and care about

Was on android had all the s series with Samsung until the 21 ultra switched to iOS and had the iPhone 12 Pro Max upgraded to the 15 pro max and it’s rubbish for the hype it got the battery is terrible the camera isn’t all that pics look grainy luckily l am on o2 switch up in the UK and can switch phones as often as l like so for me l am thinking of switching back to android and going for the s23 ultra or may wait for the 24 but this phone is rubbish

On another note, you are correct about iOS 16. My 14 Pro Max used to freeze all the time that’s why I bought the 15 Pro Max. This one is a lot better but it does get warm sometimes. Looking forward to the S24 Ultra though.

My motto is: If you're getting a phone just to browse, take photos and videos, and use it purely as a phone - paying $1000 means you're dumb and probably don't have a good self worth. If you're gonna pay $1000, you should be getting more than a phone.

I switched to an Android phone for a couple of days (Fold 4) and quickly went back to the iPhone.

i have the pixel 8 pro and im pretty happy with it however when the s24 comes out i will be replacing it .

to me, the pixel 7 pro is still my phone of the year, relatively cheap for 2023 flagship standards, chip is not that flagship but still amazing, camera is stunning, video is pretty good, everything is amazing. Only complain for the pixel 7 pro is the curved edges which get dust a lot if you're using a case, and the battery for me is pretty good but yeah. 8 pro is also better but for the price, definitely no.
