My first and lost iPhone I've ever owned is iPhone 4 and I used to have these problems. It's so sad to hear about this now.

I'm primarily a Android user with an iPhone as a side piece. I thought I was tripping when I kept realizing that the iPhone (15PM) connection was trash. I always have to cycle airplane mode on several times a week just to get a signal. Airdrop is definitely one of the most overrated tech features of All-Time. It works like 25% of the time. Quick Share is 10x efficient and blows the doors off of it.

i rock the iPhone 15 pro max , the s24 plus , and the Sony Xperia 1 mk V. i haven't noticed any significant differences when it comes to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance.

Wow! I’m in the UK with giffgaff (physical sim) and I’ve had no problems at all with it. No wifi drops, 5G speeds are great and signal is normal all the time. I used to have to turn my WiFi off and on with the S22 ultra in the past although not frequently but it never happened on the iPhone so far. It must be super frustrating.

Yes I've seen these issues on iPhone 14 and 15 Promax too, s24 and s24ultra have better wifi connectivity and are faster at downloading apps

I have Verizon for all of my phones prior to getting the s24 ultra I used an iPhone 14 pro Max and there was areas inside my house the town that I live in is a very large town and my connection is very poor soon as I switch to the s24 ultra I've had zero issues with connectivity

Iphone modem software have been trash for several years now. It cant switch towers without losing signal. It'll SHOW signal. But won't connect. It requires several airplane mode cycles to reboot the modem and get it reconnect.

WiFi Bluetooth and many bugs screen dimming camera bump it's why I switched from iPhone 13pm

Totally! I think it's probably the antennas. The signal quality on every other phone has been great except for the 15 PM.

Didn't apple have a problem with the placement of the antenna in iPhone a few years ago? Maybe they are cost cutting by reducing the number of antenna's or just not putting them in the right place.

Last summer I climbed Borah peak. The tallest mountain in the state of Idaho. There is a very weak signal, some of the time none with AT&T . At the time I had my personal sim in a 13 pro Max and my work sim in my Pixel 7 pro. I lost service less than half way up with the iPhone and never got it back. The Pixel 7 pro on the other hand had light spotty service the whole time. I thought it was supposed to be the Pixel that sucked but nope. I'm curious now how my s23 ultra would have compared.

Same thing to mine, my Z fold 5 signal bars are full while on 15 Pro max out of 1 bar at all time 😢

I constantly have the same problem with my iPhone in Estonia, and so do others, the wifi is weak and constantly disconnects, the phone call signals are weak and constantly disconnect, I haven't tested 5G in Estonia yet, we only have it in some places in some cities, but 4G has been around for years weak, while the s24 ultra has better wifi coverage and call sustainability, they rarely drop constantly. Yes, I live in the country, and from this I can understand that it is not much better when I am in the city, and I can compare it with an android phone, which, with low wifi and call transmission, at least has not been interrupted so far, is it slower at times, but does not disconnect, and also restores faster own networks, but the 15 pro max wifi and calls are often simply interrupted and it takes a very long time to find the network again, whether it is when finding a phone network or a wifi network, at the same time the s24 ultra restores the lost networks very quickly if they have been lost, rather the wifi gets slower from time to time and then faster again without interruption, mostly. I have both iphone 15 pro max and s24 ultra physical sim cards, I don't have an e-sim. In fact, for years the iphone has a weak reception and keeps disconnecting, and it's a shame because I use the iphone as my main one. Tänan!

I'm glad you've had time to test this out. I've been bouncing back and forth between Android and Apple thinking. I would try iOS out someday but I think I'm going to pass and stick with Pixel. It's been fantastic even with a few bugs here and there, but I can live with that.

iPhone 15PM and yes !! Bad connectivity ( TMobile and WiFi ) .. I've had txts failed to send, phone calls not connecting and pages taking forever to load ( and sometimes time out ) while no such issues with S23 Ultra.. Have had a couple of data connectivity issues with the S24 Ultra but nothing like on the iPhone. Had no issues with the previous iPhone 13 PM !

Same problem with my iPhone. It's range for picking up the WiFi is pretty bad compared to my fold 5.

i have the 15phone pro, no issues... i am running latest ios17 public beta... but i am in Australia and we have different radio bands to the USA....

I've had an issue with my 4th gen iPad Pro randomly disinfecting for like a minute or so for no rhyme or reason though I'm pretty sure the issue is my router.

I recently bought an M4 iPad and I’m having the same problems with public Wi-Fi as I’m having with my iPhone 15 pro.

I’ve had the same problem with Wi-Fi on some public networks since day one with the iPhone 15 pro. No matter what I can do it won’t consistently connect to the network. Even if I turn Wi-Fi on then back ok again it only fixes the pro me for a few minutes.

I have the iPhone 14 plus and I'm on Verizon and it seems to work just fine

I live out in a rural area and every phone at best has 1 bar of signal and it's hard to keep a call, with my iPhone 15 Plus I have 0 issues keeping a call when an S24 that my spouse has will drop calls and we are on the same provider. I don't know, I guess I have been lucky. I did see a Modem Firmware update in the beta releases currently out as of April 2024. Maybe try putting the beta on the phone and try it? As for bluetooth I use a headset daily because I'm in a wheelchair and I'll leave my phone in my room and just use the Bluetooth while I roam the house 20-30ft away from the phone with 0 issues. WiFi is no issue around my house either, but I do have WiFi 6 with my enterprise grade access point located centrally in my 2500sqft house.

I’m using a Canadian model iPhone 15 Pro Max with a Sim tray and I have T-Mobile and services been really good good.

Haven’t experienced any connectivity issues on my 15 Pm on AT&T Network. Not doubting others may be experiencing issues

I have 15 PM on T Mobile.I have no issues with Bluetooth or connectivity.Sometimes phone take a while to connect but very rare.People got to realize that mass production of high demand products like phones come with QC issues.Plus in the technology streaming era the system is overloaded with our phones,tablets,streaming devices,cars,tvs,-appliances,computers.The areas we live in and the amount of signal towers can affect the performance of phones.But have to take in consideration those factors before we bash the phones.All phone brands have their own flaws just some more than others.This coming from a life long Samsung user who is enjoying my 15 PM

My GF loved her 14 pro Max but, she managed to break it three times in the course of a year. The final time she dropped it a great distance while exiting a plane during a business trip. She was out of town and absolutely had to have a device. Unfortunately, the local Apple store did not have the parts to repair it at the time nor did they have a replacement. To that end, she upgraded to the 15 Pro Max and has never enjoyed it as much. Once more, she is experiencing many of the issues that you're illustrating in this video.

It sometimes has to do where the receptors are in the phone and if you’re blocking them. Take covers off, put the phone down, then run some tests.

I had problems with modem and data transfers until I changed from 5G to 4G on my SIM card settings. Now I have a more stable connection on videocalls, hotspot and so on.

I have the 15 Pro Max and have had no issues at all. Even in bad areas that are known for bad service near me I can still make a call or get online.

If S24 and Iphone 15 use the same modem it's got to be software/ power management issues with the Iphone 15. BTW I just ordered S24+ from Verizon 👍 should be a big upgrade going from Samsung S10.👍

I’ve had some connectivity issues with my s24 ultra when I’ve been around town on 5g and 4g. Not sure what’s going on. Maybe it’s just areas I’ve been in. I’m all over 3 counties when I’m working. I’ll have to pay closer attention to see if it always happens. My iPhone 15 pro max seemed better around town. It would switch from 5g to 4g quick if there wasn’t good 5g where I was. Haven’t had a phone switch as fast like it should. Love both phones though.

My first iPhone was the 11 PM and I found myself using it a lot at work even after I stopped enjoying iOS just because it gave me a more reliable connection. But after I upgraded to the 14PM that changed and it became worse than my android, an S22U. Ultimately I ended up ditching it for the Zfold 5

Same here but worse. I got iPhone 15 Pro Max from Boost Infinite stuck in a 36 month contract. My phone shows 5G and full bars but it sits there and doesn't load simple pages like a bus schedule. I live in a wheelchair and I use this phone as a lifeline it doesn't work most of the time people who call me say they get a busy signal, it takes minutes and minutes to connect to a simple website and sometimes not at all. Over on Reddit they tell me that it's a dish network tower that Boost connects to and even if it's a poor signal and minimal connection, it will not switch over to a different tower. My phone said it's fine but I do not believe Boost Infinite. Reset after reset in troubleshooting with no help at all sometimes it works for five minutes after to reset and then goes back to not working. I hope Apple sees this and does something about it and I hope Boost Infinite acts as well I will be having a nonworking phone for the next 36 months.

Mine is in Verizon and its been perfect on WiFi and lte/5g. Must have be your area and carrier choice.

Odd... I don't experience modem issues at all on mine. I've used S24 Ultra, Pixel 8 Pro, OnePlus 12... I can't tell that much of a difference where I live.

My iPhone 14 Plus has really bad signal. I got so frustrated that went to the store and bought an iPhone se 3 and works flawlessly

It's slow on 5gUC for T-Mobile and the wifi is pathetic. If i didnt get it for $400 for tranding in my 13 pro i would be mad. I live in los angeles which my S22 ultra and pixel 8 pro work much better. The 15 pro max never uses the 6ghz while the S22 ultra always has 6E as well as the pixel. My bluetooth works perfectly though.

My girlfriend's iPhone 13 Pro has issues with wifi all the time. I thought it was my router, but all other devices in my house stay connected when her phone's wifi drops. Same thing with her iPad Air.

15 Pro Max, have the same problem. Bluetooth connected to wireless Carplay will randomly drop after an hour of connection, my signal is absolutely atrocious

The modem and Bluetooth/WiFi firmware with iOS 17 on iPhone 12 is simply very bad. You just need to stand in front and there's no Wi-Fi when iPhone 7 with Intel modem and BT/WiFi works just fine. It's frustrating during iOS updates when the phone simply says no internet. Edit: unless iPhone maker is making qcomm look bad to prepare for their own modem. I don't think it's bad power management issue rather new firmware had some undisclosed bugs that killed throughput and range

Wifi connectivity in the Pixel 8 Pro sucks too. It's hit or miss if you have internet on wifi or not. iPhone 14 and 14 plus no issues whatsoever.

Thank you tech for mentioning this! I thought i was the only one makes me wonder how can it be reliable for people with money/celebrities if iphones always have bad signal. My 13 for two years always had terrible signal. My girls s23 ultra had signal and clear phone call in hart island nyc while everyone with iphones had no service and were shocked. My s24 ultra also has a great modem. Wifi was ful😢l bars even from the bathroom far away. I know iphones haven't had Intel which I heard were worse for years but now even having Qualcomm I think they send them inferior modems on purpose or something lol cause signal on samsung, Motorola, oneplus etc is just something else.

this is very true i have an 14PM using 1g fibery optic wifi 7 and i cant even play a mobile legends it lags so terribly and then now im using s24U and the diff is night & day.. apple must fix this shit

I personally think the issue may be the e Sim because once I got my s24 ultra I am now have a physical Sim and have zero connectivity issues. So again I think it is more the e-sim issues

I have WiFI issue on both Pixel6 and S23U. WiFI would drop randomly while watching KZfaq. I have to turn off and on WiFi and it is fine. This happens almost everyday. I had this issue on my Note20 too. No problem with iPhone8 Plus and iPhone15P. For this reason I have to use iPhone.

I switched to iphone 14pro from Flip 4. The cellular signal is so low and the wifi disconnects easily. I thought apple fixed it on iphone 15. This is disappointing. I need good signal since I work in a hospital.

Weird, only phones I’ve had a modem issue with in the last 3 years were Pixels. Must be a T-Mobile and AT&T thing. No issues on Verizon with my 15PM.

I’ve not changed my work location since using the Samsung Galaxy S23Ultra, moved to the iPhone 15 PM 2 months ago and it has to go, I can’t even pass time watching Tik Tok, all I see is stopped videos and buffering. Extremely irritating! S23 Ultra worked so well I didn’t know what signal issue was.

Its probably the titanium. Look into the essential phone. Had a titanium frame and had several issues with connectivity. Polly carbonate phones have the best connectivity

I agree people always tell me they can’t hear me when I’m talking to others also the AirPods are not great.

My experience with every iPhone I've had since the X is that their connectivity is horrible, even my pixels would get better cell service or wifi connection.

This is what gets me about most tech reviewers. I think literally you are the only one covering how bad the 15 pro series is. But these same reviewers will trash Pixels when their modems aren't good. Apple in my opinion should be forced to recall these phones and replace them. Because for $1000 and $1200 or more that's insane to get this poor quality with the modems, build quality and screen issues known on the 15 pros. iPhones have really dropped in quality the last 2-3 years to the point between their lack of quality and customization I'd rather stick with android. Glad you answered my question of if the Pixel 8 had better connectivity as I'm considering trading in my 5a for it once it stops getting security updates later this year.

now that i have seen this video I believe that I was having that problem with mi iPhone 14 plus because when I would have my phone connected to the Bluetooth in my vehicle nobody seen to be able to hear me I'll always have to disconnect form the Bluetooth and talk on the phone directly

Ever since I switched to Verizon I stop having these issues so idk what apple doing with these carries or what the carries doing to the phones 🤷🏽‍♂️

Yea I was just noticing this the other day when I was doing a Speedtest between my iPhone 15 PM and my S24 Ultra. Same cellular network and the S24 Ultra is noticeably faster.

over here in OZ we have a blue tick score for reception signal and samsung is king on that score I phone's only phone that scored well was the iphone 7 none ever since and the 7 had a radiation leakage due to good signal

I'm no apple fan, but I've also put both phones at the same T- mobile Tower snd same Wi-Fi modem and 15 Pro Max always gets higher speeds. But that was when it first came out. You should show the speed differences so we can see it.

I've watched quite a few videos on the iPhone 15 series and people are just not happy with it. You would think by now iPhones would be the gold standard of phones. But it seems like iPhones are going downhill while Samsung phones are getting better and better. Maybe whoever is in charge at Apple could take notice of what Samsung is doing and improve on their phones instead of putting out crap and charging customers an outrageous about of money. I don’t use the IPhone anymore because of these issues. Samsung is elite with T-Mobile by the way. My wife’s 14 Max is horrible with connectivity drop calls bad, AT&T, signal,etc….

That’s so odd with airdrop. I never have problems unless im trying to drop 100s of photos at once then it might fail. I have noticed my 15 pro max compared to my a23 ultra usually scores lower on WiFi speed tests. Not so much so that it’s noticeable in day to day use but s23 ultra just scored a 231 and iPhone did a 160. This is pretty consistent too
