Action button? You can program the on-off button on the Ultra to start any app or function. You an even programme 1 click and 2 clicks seperately.

@@lockdown11bYou have swipe gestures on the Smasung as well so either way Samsung offere more. Apple actually copied Samsung with the action button anyway. That has been a thing forever on Android. Apple stopped innovating on the software end and that's why they are copying there now.

@afroditta6950 Other way around. Apple even pays Samsung to use their parts in their phones. Just about all their "new features" are copying android for years now. Hell, with iOS 18 they are finally copying allowing you to move icons around your own phone. Something android has virtually always done and it's because they have no ideas on the software side in years now. Always behind on software that is the more important deal these days anyhow since hardware is already so good on flagships that basically just about no one is ever going even get close to needing to care about it. We'll see if apple ever does anything innovative "aka something no one else hasn't already been doing" any time soon on their phones. They definitely haven't done so in YEAAÀAAAAARS.

On the software side the list is super long and you seem a fanboy, I won't put the effort in it. Everyone is trying to copy Apple ecosystem, it's not rocket science to see it.

Nice comparison. Both phones are absolutely great. I'll address a couple points from the perspective of a person who is more familiar with Android than iOS. I find that Android phones actually produce a more consistent user experience. For example, the use the back button is one of the most common interactions. In Android, you know where it is and what it will do. iOS is more of a crapshoot. And settings for an app are in the app in Android. For iOS, they might be in the app or in the system settings. I understand that muscle memory is at play here, and you are used to iOS. But Android customizability means you can modify the phone to fit your ideal workflow, rather than adjusting your workflow to the operating system. What could be more consistent than a phone that you can make do what you want? It feel like iOS requires you to watch tips and tricks videos to find basic features, like holding down the spacebar to move the text cursor. I'll also add that Quick Share, while not working with Apple products, is a super fast and convenient way to connect android and windows devices.

I don't really care who has the best camera or is the fastest phone in benchmarks. Every flagship smartphone takes super pictures and video's and is blazing fast. 97% of all smartphone users don't even see the differences. I'm a SMARTPHONE user so I want the best screen (dpi/brightness/anti-glare), best battery, best/most usablility and productivity options, best gaming- and multi-media experience, best personalization options and best innovation. I want DEX, KNOX, S-PEN, call recording, multi-tasking, multi-window, fingerprint scanner, best screen, widgets, themes, integration with windows, the biggest eco-system (Samsung SmartThings), fast charging, fast wireless charging and I want AI. On all these aspects the S24 Ultra is destroying the iphone 15 PM big time. So why keep people buying these antiquated, restricted and very very limited iphones?

As long as apple continues to tell you what you can and can't do with your device long after it's paid for. Android will always be king. I simply can't understand why we keep comparing apple to Android because these phones are meant for two different types of people. Apple is for the social media junkies, and Android is for productivity and power users. And you know how I know this to be true? Because every tech reviewer only has one topic. The cameras! That's all they ever discuss because the iPhone does nothing else. No multi tasking, no split screen, no real picture in picture, no real customization, no full control over the device you paid for. It's like trying to compair a Honda civic to a corvette. So they jump straight into the cameras because that's the best thing going for apple.

I like that you can use Face ID as your password to login on banking apps etc. I even created a custom use on Safari, sure people did that for years but I had no idea until some months back lol. I do wish Apple had a fingerprint scanner in addition to face but if I had to choose one it's the one I can unlock when my hands are dirty from working or wet from shower or rain.

Well everyone has their own taste. I've sent back 2 S24U due to poor quality speakers and also bad screens. But if they would change theese things I would go back. And bear in mind theese are things that didn't like and don't care what others think. 1. Better speakers 2. Better optimized apps that I use much as Shazam and instagram just to name a few. 3. Less clutter and a million options in the UI. 4. Better camera optimization 5. Magsafe built into the phone and screw the S pen rather take magsafe built in instead. 6. Better faceid beacuse i much prefer that on apple it's just works flawless and I'll take that over any fingerprint reader all day long. So I'm waiting on the fold 6 and hoping that might be the foldable I'm waiting for or mayby the pixel fold 2. And i agree Apple is boring but it just works so good. And one can actually customize it pretty much it's just a bigger hazzle then android.

It's actually 2 years. The AI features are available until end of 2025. People usually change phones every 2 years (well, mostly those who can actually afford the S series line up)

That's actually the reason I switched to android. The operating system is just easier. Less steps for many things and if you don't like something you can change it. You have way more options. I can't go to a phone with way less features that makes my every day life harder. I would just totally disagree with you.

That's how I feel about my S24+ It just works and has the better software options available to boot. So much smoother. Iphones actually hold out and don't even offer 120hz at the same price point so the experience isn't as smooth even in day to day tasks on IOS and that's objectively. To each their own though.

If you are budget restricted, you can save so much money from Samsung Ecosystem as they are sooo much cheaper than their apple counterpart. Also, most of the time, Samsung give free Watch or Buds during pre-orders, which means you don't have to worry about buying one.

My iPhone works better even though it’s boring af. CarPlay is better than android auto. Applications have better access to my camera (I take photos for and at work all day) I can deny microphone access to apps and they still work on iOS. On android when I modify the mic permissions the apps won’t open. The camera is more consistent, not better, but more consistent. Etc. I prefer android, but it’s just not as functionally fit for my day.

I’m a longtime iPhone user (4, 5, 8 Plus, 13 Pro Max, SE, 13 mini) and would like to switch to Android just to try it out. I went to Best Buy and tested the S24 for 15 minutes and I must say I was frustrated with how different it felt compared to iPhone. I wanted to be blown away but really all I was doing was trying to use it how I would use my iPhone. I guess I just don’t really care about all the bells and whistles Samsung offers. I just want a good phone that is easy to use.

As an android user, I am the opposite. But then I thought myself the navigation of an iPhone and its operating system. I can now understand both, and both have completely different logics and ideas. One thing iPhone has going is a good synchronised eco system, but that is also a con, too, as you get stuck into it. Android has much more freedom, but this freedom can have security issues if you are not tech savvy. I like the iPhone for its simplicity, but I prefer android for its freedom to change, install, and customise programs to my hearts content. I can make the android fit for any purposes.

I've had only an IPhone 4s. Then android up until now. S20 Ultra, s22, s23, fold 3 which I'm using now. Been to see and hold both the 15 PM and the 24 Ultra and the Iphone does it more for me. My reasons are, I'm just so overwhelmed with options when it comes to Android, it's like having Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV, July but end up watching KZfaq on the fold 3s slim screen. I want fewer options but those few options work flawlessly. Otherwise they are distractions. I spent hours changing skins in android, hours "making it mine" and for what? I show no one 😂 I have an IPad pro and for work a MacBook. I want 1 cloud service, 1 password service, 1 notes service they all syncs up. Android offers way way to much when it comes to these and all options have their pros and cons. Having a phone that is simple, does what it needs to and that's it, all apple. Phone for work and social things. Ipad for more complex work and content consumption. Laptop for excel and product management/course and study. Each has its place and we are humans needs to have this split. We need options or distractions removed!

Is the display really brighter in real life outdoors, or are you just mentioning the specs? I found a video suggesting the 15PM is brighter, though, and I could not confirm since most reviews only discuss the specs

With the s24u you only get the max brightness with adaptive display on and while outside.

I concur I prefer the feel and look of the Samsung . But as a daily driver the 15 pm just suits my needs for work and iMessage as family and friends all have Apple . And those two factors are why I’m still using Apple . Both phones have cons and pros 🤷🏻♂️

The S23 Ultra absolutely digs into my hands. One of the reasons I never use it. Also the photos suck with Samsung’s over sharpening. I liked my S21 Ultra much better, but it started given me problems after only 14 months.

Windows only good for gaming. Still buggy as he'll. Although windows 11 little more stable than older versions. Also samsung ecosystem is shit. I've tried it. Just gimmich. Nothing useless. Why would I use dex when I have access to a pc or a laptop at home and how often are you gonna find yourself needing a pc and miraculously you also have a tv nearby? Notifications only get mirrored to pc and you can't act on it. Screen mirroring is good to have but nothing extraordinary.

I have the 15 PM but the 24U is the better phone. I am in it because my job my wife and family all use apple and it would be annoying to switch. The ultra looks awesome though 😢

I have the S24 ultra right now and I'm getting rid! Inconsistent battery life and getting notifications on time is a lottery. Micro stutter during video playback with the likes of netflix and paramount plus due to the refresh jumping up and down. It's mostly caused with having subtitles enabled. Getting the 15 pro max this week.

Ok I got a the iPhone 15 pro max and the new s24 ultra . I always have two phones. I like both both are getting closer to each other. Apple is opening up with custumizations and Samsung finally getting better hardware . What Apple does , it does right . But it's always last to get features but when it does the have worms the bugs out . Samsung come out first and figured the rest out later but the software is android so open to what you want but their hard ware is always been subpar.

i went to apple from samsung out of boredom at the end of 2020. i know the galaxy is good for what it is, but the iphone is good enough. hasn’t bothered me yet. having apple is just….. easier. in the states at least. i’m thinking of going back to the galaxy just because what they’ve done seems awesome, but it’s not out of necessity. everything rocks now.

How much of this AI stuff is Samsung’s and how of it is actual Google’s? More to the point, are these AI features on Samsung free or will they eventually have to “repay” Google?

I've used both. I really hate iPhone it's just so limited. I couldn't do what I wanted to do. Or it takes a long process to do what I wanted to do. The only good on Iphone is high quality camera in social medias

I am using iPhone right now switched over from android. I wanted to try something new and also to make communication easier with my boss and family members. Many of them use iPhone. And it’s overall pretty good. There are some things that Apple needs to take from android. 24 ultra this year has put iPhone on the ropes, iPhones are being left in the dust and I really hope they step up the game this year with IOS 18 and iPhone16, because Siri is awful and voice dictation is atrocious on iPhone it’s got to change!

Sold the iPhone 15 pro max was the worst iPhone I've ever used. i found the camera was shit i took a good photo of my kids a few days ago. When i checked the photo, the photo came out green, disappointing, and currently setting up the s24 ultra apple are going back not forwards the only good thing they did release was the usb c Man, i will miss my series 8 stainless steel watch, but my iPhone 13 Pro Max took better photos 15 pro max takes blured photos the focus is terrible

Far to many phone wars in 2024 I have both I was full time Samsung user till 14 pro max I found the iPhone just works better the Samsung does get very hot when gaming I thought my phone was faulty so came on KZfaq as you do and in gaming test the Samsung was the hottest out of 6 phones though update would fix this never did iam 44 and stick with my iPhone most of the time I like boring but the iPhone just works perfectly all the time maybe it’s my age il just give Samsung to my son good review bro

Samsung has a wide variety of phones and have switched their designs numerous times and the note became the galaxy. Samsung has been extremely innovative. They've kept the same design for 2 years and apparently to you Samsung is doing the same thing now 😂😂. Iphone has looked the same all it's life. They just make them bigger. Operating system is the exact same and almost nothing innovative has been done. They just slowly add shit from android.

The galaxy became the note, that's a change. The non ultra has rounded edges, that's different. Many samsung galaxy phones don't look the same at all. Samsung innovated and Apple gets that feature 5 years from now. Maybe one day you'll get fast charging.

I have 190 apps installed on my iPhone that I use constantly. A lot of them are not available on android and if you install 190 apps on android it will lag very badly.

I am a heavy user with hours and hours of screen on time. I could barely make it 8.5 hrs with a full charge on my s21u. I switch to s24u and I only charge once a day. It's insanity. Your battery issue makes no sense.
