did anyone think that between 5:27 - 5:45 looks easier then it really is? GREAT VIDEO THO WITH PERFECT SPEED INTRUCTIONS AND DETAIL! others are too quick or the instructions aren't as proper. you got my thumbs up! I will mark this video and save it for when my i6 screen arrives.

Anonymous Canada Out of all the steps that one seemed to take me the longest, the rest wasn’t all that bad. Besides doing battery replacement with adhesive that doesn’t want to play nice but that is a different story.

This was awesome... My screen kit was pre-assembled (no reconnecting camera, mic, retina transfer- just home button), but it was a breeze...It's amazing the things we can accomplish when we take the time to believe (in ourselves)...

Any ideas or suggestions on why the screen would flicker consistently after the screen is replaced? I did all of the these steps . I even unplugged the battery let it sit for half hour and double checked my connections. Everything works , the speaker, home button, and camera , but the screen keeps freaking out.

ive swapped a iphone 6s screen and display that was broken and replaced it with one from another 6s that had other issues. but the screen is completely blank. the old screen displayed half the screen at least

I replaced mine every think is ok but the screen is foggy with vertical blue lines and bit of flickering which goes off after few minutes. Anybody got any clue ?

Thank you so much. I just got done replacing my screen and it works perfectly. I noticed that some people commented that their touch ID stopped working but I don't have that problem. I wasn't quite able to follow the instructions when you were putting the camera back in place but I watched another KZfaq video on how to do that and I got it. Great instructions besides that. Thanks!

Sun.bun_ Yeah I'm pretty sure you replace it with a new one. otherwise you'd just be taking it off and putting it back on and the damages would still be there.

i suggest getting a new rubber gasket because you'd lose the adhesiveness of the gasket if you re-use the old rubber gasket and the home button will be less flushed on the screen

if you get the iphone screen with small parts off their website, you don't have to do all the extra stuff. you can just pop it right on

i´ve just replaced my wife´s iphone 6 screen. Before closing the screen I tried everything was working perfectly, the only thing that wasn´t working was the touch id (i didn´t know how to fix it and it was not so important so i left it that way), I even tried if the proximity sensor was working and it worked so I turned it off and finish putting everything together but when I turned it on i realized the proximity sensor was not working. Do you know how can i fix those issues? i think I was very careful and didn´t break a thing

Yes keeping the original home button will allow touch id to still function on a new display.

nahhh, it definitely won't work. apple has this thing called the home button no screen change disorder which stops you from using the same button, so #dab #lit

If the touch sensor still works, just hold down the button for five to six seconds and turn it off, if your not sure whether or not the touchscreens working but you mic and speaker still work, hold down siri and say "what is 0÷0". this is a pretty long joke so while she's saying it, touch the bottom inch of your screen, if she stops, then the touch senor works, if not try a few more times, if it still doesn't stop, then you touchscreen doesn't work. If this is the case, read Markus B (right above mine) and do what he says.

I did with one. I used a similar star bit only from a different tool kit. fit better and the screw came out.

Can somone give me a definitive answer on the touch id? I had to replace both the digitizer and lcd and the touch id is no longer working. Is it likely that this is fixable or did the fact that I added a non-oem dig/lcd prevent its use?

The best part about going to replace your screen at the mall or a store is, if they have a defective screen which means it won't work, they will put another screen for just one charge. On the other hand, if you buy your screen from eBay or Amazon that screen may be defective and you'd have to wait another week or so.
