iPhone 7 Black Screen/ No Display Backlight Repair

Күн бұрынiPhone 7 starts up with black screen or no display on backlight but still working, and the boot current is normal. It still exists after replacing the screen. REWA LAB tested and found that this malfunction is caused by broken backlight circuit on logic board. Please check the video for the repair details of iPhone no display.

Awesome thanks for this. I was able to fix one iPhone 7 no image from impact (had faint backlight but no image). I didn't have the IC in stock so I tried to reflow the IC and it worked! Tested phone for a few hours and so far no issues with image going black. Thanks for the awesome videos as always!

To clear this up you should have applied a light from the behind of the display so we can see you have display(pixels) but with no light(backlight). Thats the way you identify no backlight/no display. I know you already know it, but this way is more clear to us to understand the fault. Thanks!

Thanks for the great video. I tried to follow your explanation, measured at Pin 39, 37, 35 the diode voltage. Pin 37 was different than yours. Instead of 0.5V, I get 1.6V. Can you please help with the conclusion where to find the issue? Thanks !

Thanks for the video but after changing the IC the Phone still doesn't display and the reading is perfect and have also tried different screens still persisting what might have been the problem

The only issue I have with REWA is the fact that Refox software is malicious and I’ve had to completely wipe 2 different MacBooks for the same/similar problem since installing the software and nothing else afterwards

Dada, One gave Iphone 7 to Mechanic to replace display, before it was working. But after I gave to change but he told me It’s not working. There graphic on Screen but no backlight is their also touch is not working. What should be the possibility?? Please suggest 🙏🏻

Have you tried to replace it with a new screen? If the problem still exists, try to check the diode value of display connector.

Alejandro JC It's difficult to diagnose without a detailed history of what lead to the issue. A quick visual inspection can help identify problem components. Anything discolored is a great place to start. If you do not see anything, then a more in depth diagnosis is required. You must track down the missing data line or power rail failure.

It's in celsius. The temperature is related to the brand of hot air gun, the material of PCB holder and environment temperature etc., so the data in the video is for reference only.

@@toimarks It might be an issue with the display, you must take it to a repair store to make a few tests and if it is the display, replace it.

Rewa;; Why use 5VDC for the external DC "battery" source? .. That is not correct, since that constitutes a DC "overload" situation for the motherboard. You should use the correct 3,7VDC-4,3VDC according to the battery specs. Be 100% PRO.. not 90% ...

Dear all, I dropped my phone in a salted water and my iPhone 7 rear camera stopped working. I’ve tried to replace the rear camera but it didn’t work. Is it a mother board issue? When I opened it I didn’t see any water damage on the mother board and the volume down sometimes stop working as well when I phone and close the phone. Sorry my bad English, hope you guys can give me An advice!

Marcelo Along the rear camera circuit there are a host of capacitors and filters. If the phone is still operational, excluding the camera, then you do not have any busted capacitors. It could be a possible filter. Filters work much like fuses, they simply 'pop' whenever the current reaches above thier rated tolerance, leaving an open line. There could also be issues with the audio IC. There are two questions you need to solve: 1.) Is this a data or a power issue? 2.) Is the problem causing the component not to receive signals or has the water damaged a component, causing it not to transmit.
