Wait... the title says "Replace the Display on iPhone 7", in this video you only shown how to remove the old display, not how to replace it!

Herman Chan it's still dumb to say that though. Every other video is comprehensive and shows the entire process. Lazy of iFixit to not show the whole process

Duh replacing the screen is the reverse of disassembly , the only critical part is the moving the original Home button so your Touch ID works ,

Anyone here get better battery experience after replacing? My tests on my current battery the 7 came with are: Loses 15-20% over night. Lasts 2 days on standby Lasts 4 hours on 100% usage. Anyone got better results after replacement? My 5S lasts 4 days.. double the length of the 7 on Standby.

Farqed if I can get those y screws undone, me kit has 3 micro screwdrivers and a small blade screwdriver I'm thinking I'll throw the iphone in the bin and go buy another new phone and a contractors case oh and not an iphone.

Sean O Donnell try giving the phone a restart if that doesn't work you have damaged the ribbon cable that runs along the back of the metal shield connecting the home button to the phone, you are able to replace this ribbon and get touch Id back

IFixIt Guys I broke my iPhone 7plus Touch ID The strange thing is that I didn't even drop it and yet it broke and it's suppose to be sapphire Anyway now that I've broken it do you'll have any advice ? Anything that I could do to fix it ?

there is no difference between under a year or out of a year for apple repairs. the only reason there would be is if its covered under warranty. physical damage is not covered.

If you were careful and the adhesive was still in good shape it may still be water resistant however that is not guaranteed and I won't treat it as water resistant any more

BORROWED from repairing company appropriate screwdrivers and now for the fourth time reheating "iOpener" and reheating the display for the glue to loosen up and still not creating space to fit spudger in ... HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT / leave icrap on the iphone ?

Don't do what I did a miss the tiny step of disconnecting the battery before removing the screen cable, the phone is now a total brick! dead as a door nail!

no new adhesive? there goes some water resistance. so cringey watching that screen completely opened flat like that. those cables tear so easily if not handled properly.
