no matter what you think of apple, you have to admit that they put together the iphone very cleanly

That's probably because you've never dissembled single phone in your life. Now days phones are all virtually the same.

***** actually, i have and I've watched most of these guys' teardown videos and the iphone is (almost) always put together much more clean than other phones

That's very true, and the screw more of their parts together rather than glue everything. They are really well built phones internally.

Man that's one neatly designed phone, I mean out of all your tear down videos I have to admit none of the devices are as good looking on the inside as the iPhones and iPads are. Coming from a non biased iPhone and android user

Im excited to see replacement parts for the iPhone 7 soon, and disassembling it doesnt seem much harder than with the iPhone 6s too. The new way of opening the screen to the side makes things even easier than with older phones. Can't wait to repair one!

Love my new iPhone 7. Upgraded from iPhone 5, so I'm getting the extra screen size, storage upgrade, camera upgrade, louder speaker, and most importantly Touch ID which makes my life so much easier. I would be pretty disappointed to go from iPhone 6 to 7 though.

It's crazy to see that they have removed the 3.5mm jack in order to have more space and then they fill it with shit: like an huge vibration engine... They have so much possibilities in they hands and every time they ruin it, I'm starting thinking that this is the real key for success, go against what people think it is necessary, and act like you know whats is right and what's wrong
@jimcanterak7349
@jimcanterak7349 8 жыл бұрын
You bought the "need more space" bullshit? The ONLY reason Apple removed it was to give an incentive (more like force) iPhone users to buy their overpriced and shitty airpods. Is it a coincidence they had the airpods as prototypes and concept for years, but they just suddenly brought them to the market when the latest iPhone "happened" to lack a headphone jack? Please.

How long does it usually take for you to do a full teardown of a new phone or laptop?
@ken_wenn
@ken_wenn 8 жыл бұрын
For a phone it would take about an hour if you did it carefully but for a laptop it depends on the model, it took me about 1 hour and a half to tear down my 2012 Macbook.

That's just a lame cover up. They said that just to add an extra layer of justification. The truth is they want to phase out the technology regardless of internal space to push the market to switch to wireless and the more capable digital ports.

Taptic engine is enormous, and even if the barometric port where the headphone jack used to be provides serious improvements in reading elevation, I don't think it buys the space in the device. And there's 3d touch that makes the screen thicker but hasn't changed app interfaces. Bottom line is I think Apple has become more concerned about tech it has it's own name on that will help marketing than picking the best balance of benefit to customers. There's stuff in here far more unnecessary than the audio jack, but Apple doesn't own that.

HA! The microphone jack (1880's technology) was replaced by a small plastic ear horn (1630's technology) for better microphone pickup. Doubtless Apple had other rea$$on$ besides tech age removing the headphone jack.
