Dymo I think that if someone has the opportunity to buy the 11 Pro or Pro Max, they should. The reason I decided to go with the Pro Max is so I could get that third camera, an OLED display, a better IP rating, and the biggest battery in an iPhone to date. Those features are all something I value in a smartphone.

rainbow sprinkles Actually the Iphone 11 pro is a very good phone but I think the design is not future proof. It's ok if you're not considering to keep it for more than 2 yrs. Keep it in mind the 2020 Iphone would have a modern design

There have been reports of bad call quality on the Iphone 8 so far. Rumor has it that it might have something to do with software, but the antenna in the iphone seems to be pretty shoddy compared to its Android competitors regardless so that might be a factor as well.

I'm still using iPhone 8+ as my primary phone. Thought about upgrading multiple times, but the home button with the haptic engine, the design and how it runs so smoothly even in 2022 post 14 launch is beyond me. I'm a great fan of iPhones that had the traditional Steve jobs touch and it wouldn't let me think take an action to upgrade to something new. And it came with a charger that I'm still using, although I had to upgrade the cable on multiple occasions.

@@alexandrucionca3281 Hi Alexandru, Yes I'm still getting updates on my iPhone 8 plus. I have it as my secondary device now, as recently when switching a back case I caused some internal damage and lost the WiFi connectivity. Other than that, it still works like a charm.

@@cthulhuiabsBut what's the point of it being higher resolution? 720p on a 4.7" screen has a higher psi than 5K on a 27" screen and everyone praises the 5K display for being amazing and you can't see the pixels even if you try. So what on earth is the point is having 1440p on these tiny phones where you couldn't even tell the difference between 900p and 1080p? The only difference I can see is a decreased battery life with no real world difference.

don't listen to nobody,listen to your gut,go to the store,feel each out and buy what you feel is good for you.Iphone 8 is compact and great overall.8+ has better cam and display but it's bulky.Iphone x front display is great can have a silver back but it has that notch and no home button.Decide for yourself what you want,my opinion touch id is still better and that beautiful ring around button is great.

The design of the 6 to the 8 has only had minor design changes but I honestly think that general design is the nicest Apple has ever made. If it ain't broke don't fix it, as they say.

I love my 6s and the performance is still sometimes better than the latest Android phones, but the battery life took a huge dump on iOS 11. Now I have to carry a portable charger with me.

I got an iPhone 8 coming from an iPhone 5s and I love it. It's everything I want and need and this will be my primary phone for the next few years. Sure, for people who upgrade every single time an iPhone comes out I can see why this update is boring, but for people who try to make their phones last for a while, this is a beautiful phone and should not be overlooked or dismissed.

Prefer the X, but it’s not worth the money for what it offers. Maybe 1/2 years from now. Simply, I’m satisfied by the experience I have with my 6S, but would like to have the completely new screen, a better camera, and stereo audio. But I will wait a bit more.

That would be a pointless feature, you just wouldn't get enough power from a solar panel the size of a phone for it to be worthwhile. Even with the panel angled just right in direct sun at noon you'd get much less than you get from a regular USB port.

To be honest, I bought the iphone 10 and used it for a couple of months. I returned it to Apple to get the 8 plus. Oddly, I still like those bezels.

I got the gold iPhone 8+ in 2018 and I remember thinking it was the perfect combination of the 7 and the X because it still has touch ID and the 2 cameras (GREAT QUALITY TOO) but then, it also has the wireless charging feature. Plus, personally, I thought the Gold looked really nice! (I know some people don't like it. So, I guess to each their own!) I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max now but the 8+ still works GREAT so I just gave it to my mom.

I think IPhone 8/plus is good for still having the same design and screen because many people would still prefer having a home button or prefer the old design over edge to edge display, that's why Apple probably included iPhone 8/plus as an alternative. It's also good mention other than design and display the IPhone X and 8/plus are almost the same in every other aspect so I really like the fact that Apple did this. Also note that though a OLED screen will look much better than the already perfectly nice looking 1080p screen, at the end of the day it's a phone screen. Unless it's your main entertainment device, a fancy OLED screen is pointless on a phone because you'd be more focused on the functionality of it notice the sharp blacks. (I have used a Samsung phone, so I do know how an OLED looks) so buyers know that your only going to be paying extra $200 for an OLED edge to edge display... And that's about it. Furthermore if you have been using Apple you'd know there is a certain pattern, when the iPhone 4 came out it was great but the 4s was the same phone but so much better, same story with 5/5s 6/6s and now 7/7s which they call the 8, and with the X it's going to be a great phone but you know what's going to be even better the Xs. So if you aren't too bothered by display and design, please save your self some money and buy the 8 or even 7 which still holds up pretty well.

true, bought an 8 plus instead of an X just because of touch ID. Face ID is good but isnt as quick and if the phone is lying on a table you gotta look straight down at it to unlock it

i agree with Marques - if you don't need the latest and greatest you can just buy a used one on Craigslist and it will be a lot less than this "value" phone for 800 bucks. and if you must have the best then it's either iPhone X or Note 8 for you ... maybe the Pixel 2 if you're into that sort of thing.

He did say the processor and internal stuff was one of the best out there and the cameras. So it's not an iPhone 6 2017 edition. Also I wonder if anyone could really tell the difference between 720p and QHD displays. On a screen that small. Not that I would ever buy an Apple product anyway.

I got the iPhone 8 Plus a few months ago, and man i love this phone. I tried the iPhone X hands on, it was good. But then i tried the iPhone 8 Plus, and man i loved it. Beautiful looking, big screen and the battery life is pretty insane! Huge fan!

I still have my I phone 8 since day one. Battery capacity is 89% from new, still looks great, works great, and I do like the home button. I did however turn off the thumbprint locking because it didn’t work if you’re slightly sweaty. Especially in the morning. I’m probably going to upgrade when they release a mini iPhone again. I’m talking iPhone 4 size.
