Whenever I try using the built in mic, it doesn’t work, and even when I connect my Powerbeats, with a built in mic, it still doesn’t work. It doesn’t seem like a hardware problem for me, but more like a software problem. I even tried updating to the most recent iOS for the iPhone 7 Plus, which I use as my backup phone, and it doesn’t work. It like not registering any mic input from anything. I also know it’s not a problem with my beats because I tested them out on my iPhone XR, and they work completely fine. Any fix?

Another option: Reset keyboard setting>enable Dictation under keyboard setting. Now you find mic at the lower right corner of your keyboard. Enjoy voice dictation.
