I think this video might be more for those that have an iPhone 6 currently and are seeing how much of an update this might be. I'm one of those people. I still use an iPhone 6 currently. I replaced the battery once, but other than that the phone still does everything I would want a phone to do. It's also honestly not that slow either. However, more and more apps are starting to not run because they require a newer version of the app in order to connect to a server or something of that sort. So it seems that it might be time to finally upgrade. Almost 8 years has been a pretty good run though. That being said, this guy's video still wasn't great. I think this guy forgets that he's not running the same version of the apps from 2014. This video felt more like a sales pitch about choosing between the do.

I agree. I have an iphone 7 love the size and the fact it has a home button is a plus. I can't deig I want the 13 mini or the se.

Iphone 6 wasn’t so slow when it came out. You can check out the old reviews from 2014 and see that it was pretty fast

Yeah, it's because of the updates slowing it down and Apple makes their iPhones even slower when you have lower battery health.

It’s mainly due to apps getting more demanding for hardware specs as more features are being introduced. An app nowadays is optimized for devices with better ram management and run best with modern hardware. The iPhone 6 would probably run somewhat comparatively if it ran period correct software and app versions. As for the 2014 reviews, our expectations for devices were lower because technology wasn’t as advanced. Back then, the iPhone 6 was the best we had and the performance we see as slow nowadays, was pretty much the norm back then with an exception or two. When holding a 4s next to a 6, the 6 seems like the future. The same occurs when you hold a 6 next to a 14 pro. Our expectations increase as technology improves, so when we are presented with something older, we perceive it as inferior

I have a iPhone 6s that was glitchy and buggy and I needed a new phone that still has software updates but instead if buying the 14 or 13 I bought the SE 3 and it works like a dream. I really do recommend this iPhone if you want a phone that is fast and that still has the home button.

why would you compare the newest SE to an iPhone that hasnt been supported for 3 years now? ofc the SE3 is the better buy overall lol More and more apps dont even suppport ios 12 anymore its becoming obsolete.

As I’m watching this on my iPhone 6 plus I can confirm I don’t have any issues with it whatsoever. In terms of looks performance features etc etc. It’s just a basic phone that meets my standard. Not that I can’t afford buying a newer phone it feels right I have everything I need. 99% of apps that are essential to anybody you still have the ability to download them the latest version. I wouldn’t use portrait mode or play heavy games anyways because I have an rtx laptop and g7markii for that matter I’ve had Xr and Se before I broke them.

So my Otterbox from my Iphone 6 should fit the SE fine ? Forced to buy a new one, my 6 just keep resetting by itself for no reason totally randomly. Well it lasted 7 years, that's pretty good.

I have been using the 6 for 8 1/2 years and today it finally croaked. i hate tech and only upgrade when it stops working altogether. probably gonna go with SE3 after watching your video

I just watched this video and i still have an iPhone 6, yesterday i logged out of one of my apps and need a newer IOS to log back in other then that my iPhone 6 works pretty good I had to change the battery once and the charging port is a little broke but it still holds up to this day I might have to get a SE soon thought because my phone is out of date and slowing dying, I'm still frustrated that I logged out of that app and need new IOS to get in

Watching this with the 6, it’s still does normal stuff well, just expect some heat playing Risk, and in my case I need to plug it into a charger because the battery is junk, if I use wifi I need to get it literally close enough to the router. Oh also the screen sometimes froze and touch itself randomly.

Just replace the battery. I have a brand new battery on my Iphone 6 and it lasts for 4-5 hours of screen on time

@@AzFarhad I had my mom’s 6 replaced as well and the SOT is 3 hours and 53 mins with 40% left.It is definitely useable but not as main phone as most apps probably not supported any longer and the performance is not as snappy as it was new.

@@jerrypsk4062 it is usable, the majority of the main apps are still working fine, but you gotta be patient with this phone lol. It takes a long time to open an app and it cannot keep them running in the background for long because of 1 GB RAM. But the phone was definitely fast and snappy when it first came out

My SE has a much better display than my 6. I just replaced the battery on my 6 and I'm going to do a factory reset and restore to see if that will speed it up to any extent.

im on an iphone 6 and might buy the iphone se 3 but the netflix test is so sad, idk how you even got netflix since it requires IOS 14+ and the iphone 6 supports up to IOS 12.5

ok the thing he said about how far the ios went to was straight up bs. my iphone 6 went up to ios 13 or a little higher, the Iphone 6 plus goes up to ios 15.4.1 . It’s obvious that the SE is overall better but say the Iphone 6 is completely outdated is just wrong. I find a lot of people who came here are like me who currently using an Iphone 6 and are wondering if SE is worth it. I like the 6 and absolutely hate the newer phones. it seems to me that SE still lacks the one thing that I’m sure pissed off a lot of people which is the lack of a headphone jack. That and the home button is literally the only things that make me hate the new phones. So personally I’m going to keep using my “completely outdated” 6 plus till it dies. sorry to the creator, this is more hate towards the apple company that you

I use ip6 and I’m watching this video to see how much upgrade i would get if i buy a new SE 2022. this video is helpful
