I had opened The flood and find out 3 chips i want to change cjip like @turtle@ but i am thinking about dot projector!!! did you knew what must activate first? in normal it goes prox then blinking the flood after it begins with dot projector to hit) do you think that if dot projector will be disabled it will be the same like flood is missing but proxm is turning? thanks

Check the solder joints on the dot projector as well... they tend to be weak and are easily dislodged with a fall or the camera bracket when installing a new screen.

Before you start panic: 1. reset Face ID 2. Turn off and on iPhone 3. Try to configure Face ID again. In most cases it works :)

Something I would like to add is turn your phone completely off and on first. I know that should be “duh obviously”, but I did this and tried the Face ID again and it worked.

No light from the Dot-Projector doesnt always mean it's bad. We made the expirience that the solder connection often gets loose by removing the assembly from the holder (by flexing too much), a simple resoldering fixes the bad connection and Face-ID is working again in 90% of the times.

Hello Sir, thanks for this amazing help i have an issue with my Face id on iPhone X the problem is it keeps saying (move your head a little higher/ position your face inside the square) but nothing happens after i checked the 2 dots and they are there and working, i checked the flood illuminator by calling and the screen went black which means it's also working, i checked the portrait for the front camera and it also worked, everything in the phone works perfectly, but i should mention that the Display is Damaged and contains a green lines from the left side, could that be a reason for why the face id isn't working, or just my face id died and that's it?

@@bartoszdabek6094 i actually did, after i opened the phone, I CAREFULLY cleaned the dot projector and led illuminator and the camera VERY carefully, and it started to work again (never be rough when u clean)

When setting up my iPhone X, the Face ID doesn’t seem to work. It keeps saying “Move IPhone a little lower” “Move iPhone a little higher” and doesn’t seem to even scan my face. There’s nothing in the way of the camera/sensor and my face isn’t covered by anything. I’ve had multiple people try to do this with their own face to see if it would work but the same error keeps occurring. How can I fix this without having to open and fix stuff within the phone (I have no clue how to do that stuff)? Please reply with any suggestions on what I should do, thanks! 🙏

Make sure you don’t have a screen protector that’s covering the true depth sensors!! Mine was and it started fine but because it was old there was some dirt and air underneath the plastic that screwed up the sensors. I had to take off the screen protector and it worked fine!!!

I spent nearly a week to recognize that the dot projector is defective. The pre owner damaged Flex cable of Display sensors. At least i could rescue proximity sensor. When i installed flood illuminator no matter which direction iPhone wouldnt boot up. So I removed it and its booting up. Idk if I can restore and activate still but. I think i will stay on 14.4 forever now. Thanks Apple.

Camille Hanry my screen protector was broken on the place near the camera and it worked for 1 year like that, out of no where the phone started not recognising anything and i just went on with typing the code every time, however I dropped it on some rocks and well the screen cracked so I had it changed and it started working again, then I knew sth had happened on the crack near the camera so it didn’t recognise anything. I know it’s probably not your case but this was mine

Василий Конюший заменить нельзя привязан по аналогии с кнопкой home. You cannot replace it , it’s paired to cpu.

How to fix my iphone X face id? Everything is fine, truedepth camera is good also everything well function in portrait camera and also working fine, infrared sensor also working fine, dot projector also, proximity also fine like i said everything is fine. But when i try to set up face id, it’s say “move your bla bla bla” . How can i fix this problem
