Do you want your lights behind the display to match what's on the screen? Watch this. Philips released a new light series called Play. As a happy Hue Bloom user, I decided to give these lights a try.

The interface of the Hue app is definitely nice and intuitive. I've gone nuts when I've found out it's possible playing around with them with Google Assistant&Siri but they change color based on what you have on the screen too?! That's awesome. Definitely a luxury to have it in here but I'd want to have them in my batcave nonetheless lmao, nice review as always ✅ P.S.: Oh and also it's possible to use them with IFTTT and change their color according to the notifications your phone gets, the time of the day etc. and it's possible to set lots of other variables. Hue is awesome.

Wow the color transition when the apple logo floated across the screen was super cool. It’s as if you created the colors in the Xr review specifically for this! I think a suit would call that synergy.

May I ask about the light flickering in the presentation between 5mins 50secs and 6mins 50secs? Can this flickering be seen by eye, or is it a result of filming that was some how, out of sync with your video recording camera?

how do you have your lights set up? and how many of them, i have 2 right behind my TV 1 on each side but I always get the same color on both sides, I tried playing the same video you used (the iPhone xr posted by you) and still the same, you get one color on the left and a different on the right side, what am i doing wrong?

Hue Sync box + Gradient light strip (get one for your size of TV) + some Hue Play bars to fill out the bottom. Also you need a Hue Bridge.

I think 2 single packs is more useful. Youll get 2 adapters which means you can use them separate and they dont need to be close enough so they can connect to that single adapter. Its just a tad more money but iw ill give more usage since you can now play them all over the room

The Hue Sync doesn't change my lights when in synchronisation mode. Any tips? Manually works with the app. background change, so the synchronisation itself isn't the problem, it just doesn't affect the light bulbs.

I like hue products but I really wish they would state clearly what their products do exactly. Just to confirm, this product does not work natively with your television to sync background ambient colours. It has no way of knowing which colours are being displayed. What it is meant for is displaying colours from your PC, laptop, MAC. If you want to you can stream “content” from your machine to your tv. I tried this recently with a PS4 and remote play on a PC which actually worked rather well and didn’t seem to lag. Please correct if I’m wrong with any of these details.

Thats what i want for my home setup as well. I went cheap and bought yeelight strip. Its fine but noway to ambient effects(there are hacks to make it work via kodi but tried with no success) The real problem here is to make them work with Netflix😀 thats what i call sweeeet

Ordered these from Amazon UK a few weeks ago when your review first appeared. After weeks of waiting finally got an email from Amazon "Our supplier has informed us that this item is no longer available." Philips seem very much like DJI - couldn't organise a p****** in a brewery with regard to getting shipping on items people want right. Who knows if the product will be available again or has just been abandoned? Funny thing is Amazon expected me to pay for and order the single extension without the main dual items being available. Glad I dodged that bullet by cancelling the order.
