In this episode of the show, Baldy, Binksy, Raj and Stu review the week that was in IPL 2024 with another instalment of the power rankings.

Raj's turquoise cap is going to be highly sought after - Romario Shepherd must have a claim. Shubman Gill's one off Rabada was delightful too.

Good listen. Surprise to hear some skepticism about KKR bowling. They dont have bankers like Rashid Khan or Bumrah but all their bowlers have something about them. Plus, they dont have absolute donkeys like Deshpande and Chaudhary that are guaranteed a flogging @ 10s+ either. Its more than enough to win with the batting they have. Its actually one of the best teams ever put together in IPL history IMO.

Thanks heaps for the comment - KKR are an interesting unit for sure. Good point about not having any really weak options, and if they can keep getting the performances and energy from Vaibhav then that'll definitely help. In Narine and Chakravarthy they have spin options that can be really tricky, but still feel like if Starc isn't going to be a banker for them then they are a little susceptible. Happy to be proved wrong in the coming weeks, though - a fun side to watch so for their sake it'd be great to see them continue near the top of the table.

Add Shashank to the must-see-tv list of batters when they come to the crease, along with Shepherd and Dube and Klaasen and the like.

Guys, please consider putting out multiple short videos -- a one hour plus video is impossible to watch for most.

Yep this is absolutely on our radar - we’ve had a few unexpected technical issues with the past couple of power rankings recordings, but planning to factor a short form video in next time too. Interestingly, though, the majority of our longer videos tend to receive more views than the shorter ones so it feels like people are enjoying that content.

Bumrah isn't getting enough love for his amazing spell. He was devastating. He'd still be my first pick for any T20 team, despite power batters being the most important thing in the IPL. Bumrah is unplayable most of the time. Currently being wasted at MI.

The fall of CSK from favorite contender to middle of the pack is possibly the most surprising development of the IPL this season along with Lucknow not sucking as much as we expected.

Yes we still feel like CSK will find their way towards the top of the table again but those two losses made them feel a lot more beatable. Their two games against LSG will be very interesting for how we view both those sides.
