Situated at the crossroads of Central Asia, South Asia, and the Arab states of the Middle East, Iran and Iraq are two neighboring countries, which share almost the same name but possess two different cultures and different histories.
Over the centuries, the relations between the Iranians and Iraqis have deteriorated due to disputes over territory, which culminated in the Iran-Iraq War of 1980.
Fueled by territorial, religious and political disputes between the two nations, the war was one of the world’s largest and longest conventional interstate wars and only ended in an effective stalemate eight years later.

I have studied this war a fair bit. Iran had Air superiority through much of the war and gradually shifted to being self sufficient. However the army was divided between the basji volunteers the revolutionary guards and the regular armed forces each conducting there operations separately which proved to be very costly for them. Iraq having a well equipped army was let down by poor leadership and bad tactical decisions. 8 years so many lives lost a costly stalemate for both sides. Many people till this day are scarred from it. Hopefully a conflict like that never happens again.

This channel’s biggest issue is pronunciation. Idk if you’re using AI to speak or what but sometimes it’s soooo bad (aka Seoul as “Sool”). However the content and visuals are super good, so if you fix the pronunciation issue, double check everything a little closer, I think you’ll have one of the best channels on YT.

@@denzilthebuilder2705 Iran was NOT a USSR ally and was simultaneously fighting USSR invasion of Afganistan not to mention sending volunteers to Lebannon at the same time. When the USSR abandoned Afganistan, ALL rebels gathered in Tehran (not Washington) and formed a new government in 1990. G. H. Bush opposed this government and armed the Taleban. The rest is history.

Fun fact. Embassies are in the capital cities of a country. In this case the Iranian Embassy is in Baghdad (another fun fact - Baghdad is a Persian word). The building you refer to in Basra would've been the consulate. It amazes me as to the lack of knowledge of people who make these videos. And they breed 😡

Its just the name "Allah" written in the centre on their flag. The detailed border of tricolor is decorated with calligraphic Allah Akbar. Yhis video shows simplistic flags and still it shows the central word "Allah".

Eye-Ran, officially IRAN pronouned EERAAN. It is like people pronouncing America as Ey-me-rie-sa. Additionally, the names are NOT different by a letter (but Ey-mey-rie-sans would not know this, would they?) They are totally different pronounciations. Iraq is pronounced Araagh while Iran is pronounced as EEraan. The lation spelling is something that moronic Anglo Saxons came up with to cover their inability to pronounce the names properly followed by Ey-mey-rie-sans from across the pond who removed all doubts about their inability at language, pronounciation and knowledge of the peoples and countries

@@Wise__guy It's even worse when these type of videos try and pronounce Irish words, they could very easily google them but instead the read them as if they were english words... Basic names like Aoife (ee-fah) will be said like "Oh-Ay-Fee" Simon Whistler from Infographics did that one, and when dozens upon dozens of people pointed out his mistake he made a video saying he was using the "english version of Aoife" , which is total BS because the English version of Aoife, is Efa :S The guy in this video isn't so bad though, different languages pronounce place names differently. Munich in English, Munchen in German for example. But Simon Whistler is just a know-it-all liar :S

@@raed.awlakey I must say that the people of Kangan are Iranian and their main and official language is Persian and they are proud to be Iranian and throughout history they fought for Iran against the British like Ali Delwari who was from Bushehr. The people of southern part of Iran are Arabic speakers, but they consider their main language to be Farsi and they are proud to be under the flag of Iran, and these people of the south defended Iran and their homeland until the last moment against Saddam's attack on Iran. We in Iran consider everyone to be Iranian. And ethnicity, race, color, and language have no meaning for us, and if someone wants to invade our country, we will defend it with all our strength.

All the people of Iran, which is made up of different ethnicities, consider themselves Iranian and they are Iranian and we love Iran, and even the people of the south are not ready for the Persian Gulf to become Arab forever, and you should know that all of Arabia and Iraq And Turkey and many other countries were all a part of the Achaemenid's territory, i.e. the Persians, even in the oldest maps of Asia, the name of this Persian Gulf is and remains Persian.

Which is Arabic…so since the inhabitants of both coasts of the gulf which is me in Khobar🇸🇦 and Arab Iranians in Bandar Kangan🇮🇷, the Gulf is Arabian!
