We will continue our Iran tour by visiting the Nushabat underground city, located in the north of Kashan in Isfahan Province. After starting the day with a local Iranian breakfast at the guest house where we stay, we will try to understand why even tourist women from other religions in Iran have to cover themselves as imposed by the religious regime. On the way from Kashan to Isfahan, we will visit the Ovi underground city, also known as Nushabat underground city, which was built approximately 1500 years ago during the Sassanid period. While visiting the interesting underground city, which resembles an anthill with narrow passages and mysterious tunnels and was used as a shelter during Mongolian attacks, we will learn about the interesting aspects of this underground city, which was built 1500 years ago with water and ventilation systems in mind.
