Ireland is one of Europe’s most green and mysterious islands and everyone who visits this isolated island in the Atlantic Ocean is given a very warm welcome. Dublin is the capital of the Irish Republic and it is a city of musicians, poets and dreamers, as well as being a financial centre. Its many old buildings indicate its long and dramatic past. It was founded by the Vikings within a wonderful valley where the River Liffey flows into the Atlantic Ocean. After the Vikings, the Normans conquered the city and ruled over it for seven hundred years and under King Henry The Eighth Dublin became the capital of what was then a British colony. South west of Dublin is Kildare, the heart of Ireland’s horse racing. In 1902 the Irish national stud, Tully House, was founded there. Rich and eccentric Scottish brewery heir, Colonel William Hall-Walker, had the idea of a creating unique horse breeding scheme that would be based upon astrological calculation. The Wicklow Mountains are a natural paradise of mountains, swamps and lakes, beautiful valleys and a fascinating mountain landscape to the south of Dublin. Jerpoint Abbey near Thomastown dates back to the twelfth century and is one of the most beautiful Cistercian ruins in Ireland. It was founded in around 1160 by Donal Mac Gillapatrick, the King Of Ossory. The Cistercians built the monastery in characteristic style and one of the stone sarcophaguses is said to contain the bones of Holy Nicolas who was buried there by the Crusaders. Although much of it has remained unspoiled, Ireland has undergone much change. It is a land of great natural beauty, healthy commercial success and excellent hospitality: a wild green island set in the wild Atlantic Ocean!

Kerry is stunning and has some of the most beautiful sceneries iv ever seen like standing up the side of slieve mish mountains and all along that peninsula makes u feel like ur in heaven on earth and just when u think u have seen beauty u turn off ballyarkane up into aughills and turn round halfway up and u will see both sides of the mountain and the entrance to north Atlantic ocean breath taking

The river Liffey flows into the Irish Sea not the Atlantic Ocean. The Irish Sea is on the east coast. The Atlantic Ocean is on the west coast.

Glendalough has a huge visitors center, with parking lots big enough for full sized buses, and tourists all over the grounds, so it's not as quiet and serene as the video alludes to. It's built close to a lake which is lovely to stroll around but there's another large parking area with cafes and trinket shops on the opposite side of the lake. This video is a decent starting point for researching a trip, but do yourself a favor and jot down places that pique your interest and do your own research.

I noticed they don't show any modern Irish cities and towns. If you want a much more realistic picture, watch THE COMMITMENTS,a thoroughly enjoyable about working class ( or they would be, if there was any jobs) young people trying to start a band.. Karen Tighe Depends on where you start from! :-) I am only an hour and a half from the French/Spanish frontier at Le Perthus. And apart from the first 20 minutes, it's autoroute/autopista all the way. Este near Padova? I must get back to Italy again... preferably for a month. Not a chance right now as I will be going to Ireland in late September. (Drive across France to Cherbourg and then the direct ferry. 22 hours including an overnight, but the cabins are very comfortable with real beds rather than bunks.)

Not wishing to take from this beautiful video, but surely the speaker ought to do a little extra research in terms of how to pronounce the Irish place names. Many of the places mentioned would not at all be recognised by a native Irish person. Just one example: Glendalough. Otherwise a wonderful video, Thank you very much.

A few facts you got wrong the River Liffey flows into the Irish Sea not the Atlantic - that is on the other side of the country on the western coast beside Mayo/Clare/Galway etc. The roads built in mountains by "the british" were actually done by the survivors of the Irish Genocide - a make the road and get fed deal by British landlords, the Protestant clergy fed starving people once they were forced to change religions and attend services as well as forcing them learn English. Maybe if the narrator actually read a few Irish history books rather than the British versions they might actually be accurate!

Come ON!! Can't you tell this is a travelogue for tourists??. He's probably been given a script,, just like the music is added at a different time and threatens to overwhelm t he narrative at times 😲😲 and no mention of City life for poor folks,, financial problems, government support such as the dole, the growing music,literary and performing arts. Nor mention of how immigrants are affecting the nation. If it makes people want to go there, it's done its job!!😘😘😘

This is almost parody only its not funny. Glendalough is not glendallef. As someone else has said here 'too numerous to mention' the ridiculous errors that this video contains. I would highly reccommend not using Expoza Travel for any of your travel needs because you might book a 5 star hotel in Dublin but end up on a pub trail in Syria. Moronic

Again, a wonderful program ruined by absolutely abysmal captions. WHY can't we get better translators?? I admit I only speak English and some basic Spanish, but these are so bad they're promoting illiteracy!!

Céad míle fáilte..just three words in Irish and he cannot even pronounce fáilte correctly; It should sound like KAYED MEELAH FAWLCHEH not FAWLTY as he pronounces it.
