Despite the problems and cut content R-Type has on the GB it was the game that made me a fan of the genre. I remember staying at a cousin's house for a week and he and some of his friends were always playing some Fifa game on the N64 or PS1 can't remember exactly. I'm not a fan of that kind of game so I was kinda bored until I found out my cousin has also a GBC with some carts. One of them was R-Type and played it. It trully caught my attention, from the music to the action on screen. That was the game I've played the entire week at his house. Just loved it! And since then when I got consoles myself (As a kid I didn't had any sadly) I was checking shooting games similar to that one and the rest is history. So it has a special place. Not the best but I had fun with it and that's what matters.

Yeah, like I said at one point if you have nostalgia for any of these it'll change your perspective on them. I try to be vigilant about that when I'm covering these things. Still, there's not a 'bad' game in this list.
